About Us

I worked long hours. I felt guilty because I could not spend time with my Welsh Collie, Dude, nor give him daily 2-hour walks I knew he needed. Often I would come home very late; you know how work is. Thank goodness I had family and friends to step in. Get a dog walker, they would say!

Dude is a rescue. Like so many of our dogs, he has challenging behavioral issues. He is a big softy around experienced dog handlers and loves a cwtch (cuddles to the uninitiated). He is a total handful in the wrong hands, which is putting it mildly!’ What if he bites the dog walker? Slips his collar and refuses to come back? What if the walker hasn’t got that natural way with him? What if he attacks another dog? It wouldn’t be fair to the dog walker’, I’d say…

Doggo is the team of dog walkers I needed.  All your dogs are looked after just as I would care for my own. I am incredibly excited to meet you and your dog family via our initial consultation (free!).

Wash Down

Your dog will live their best life on our walks and will get very muddy in the process. Our vehicles are equipped with full wash down facilities, including towels and brushes, preventing your dog from bringing his adventure back into the house!

Optimal Walking

Embracing the ‘varied walk’ technique. Walking speed alternates through gradual walks, trots and canters with occasional changes in direction and jumps (fallen trees!) to really keep brains working. There is plenty of time for hydration stops and pausing to sniff for wildlife.

The Right Gear

Gear is essential, and safety is paramount. Wherever possible, we use lightweight, enduring nylon dog leads that provide the best control and security. Alternatively, we may employ entire metal leads to avoid sneaky escapes for the chewers (not that they will want to!).

Hydration

Dehydration, especially in those hot summer months, can be devasting to dogs. Avoiding heavy panting, we take regular water breaks by carrying collapsible water bowls and bottled water on all our adventures.
