Doggie styler

Be the first to review

Welcome to Doggie styler. My name is Amanda and I offer a mobile grooming service. What that means is I bring my professional grooming equipment and knowledge to you and groom your beloved friend(s) in the comfort of your home. This can be beneficial to you and your dog(s). No separation issues for them due to an unfamiliar environment. For you there will be no waiting around wasting time while dog(s) gets it’s new hair do at a salon.

Regular grooming is good for your dog as we all know. Removing all that excess hair for those shedding breeds means  less hair on your floors at home and a dog that is not hot and itchy. Clipping thick woolly coats off dogs that love to get very wet and muddy up on the moors means it is more manageable for you between grooms. Hand stripping those messy wire coated breeds( my personal favorite) leaves them with a clean and smart finish.

I am City & Guilds qualified (passing with merits and distinctions)  and fully insured. I have loved animals for as long as i can remember and always had a dog as a best friend by my side. The muddy Jack Russell picture is Maddie who is 11 years old and i have owned since she was 5 weeks old after being rescued off a traveler site. I have a horse called Thunder who I have had since I was 17 and have owned for 17 years, he is now 27 years old, also Shadow an Arab cross pony who I have had 10 years who is now 11 years old. I am originally from south east London but moved to west somerset 6 years ago to raise a family and live in such a beautiful place and what i think is a horse and dog lovers paradise.

I have had many roles in the animal industry. Pet shop manager for a few years, equine feed store assistant-advising on nutrition for horse & dog owners , Horse groom for a top show jumping stables in Kent. I also worked a year in a veterinary surgery in London as a assistant.

You can be safe in the knowledge that while your dog(s) is in my care it will be given 5*  treatment and nothing less. Once the grooming is completed in your home every trace of the groom will be cleaned away (including bathroom after washing the dog).
