Why Choose Doggie Holiday Homes?

We feel pet care should equal the same standards as child care; they are after all part of your family.

  • Your Dogs stay in our vetted family homes, not a kennel or warehouse.

  • Our Facebook pages have daily updates where you can follow you dogs care with us.

  • We all support each other as one big team. This means that we can cover individual’s illness, holidays and emergencies if they crop up.

  • We will not let you down on your confirmed booking which many others do, because we have resources available to take up the slack when there is a problem and we own resolving any issues.  You can be assured of worry free, continuous care while you are away.

  • We are not a finding agency who has no idea what is going on within their host homes. We are a managed service who takes responsibility for the delivery of that service across the group. Every one of our homes are vetted, interviewed and then managed ongoing by franchises to maintain quality support and issue resolution.  The franchises take ultimate responsibility for quality of service.

  • Everyone is a professional who are passionate about animals and delivering a good service. We do not rely on free/volunteer labour.  In fact we are more generous to our team members than any of our competitors we know of, leading to having the best people working with us.

  • We limit ourselves to no more than 4 dogs per carer, whether Dog Boarding, Dog Daycare or Dog Walking.  This means your pet will have a genuine home environment and personal care.

  • No street lead walking as the only exercise.

  • No cold warehouse/barn where packaging them in the is priority.

  • We interview and trial all new customers and their pets to ensure a good match and sociable temperament.

  • We give honest feedback about your Dogs stay and any incidents while in our care.  This we feel is important to enhance the trust you have in us and collaboration required to address specific issues, if any.

Hi I’m Helen I live in Gosport with my Husband Jon, Son Josh and our lovely dog Bella who is a Cockapoo and a Therapy Dog for Therapy Dogs Nationwide. We also have a cat called Cleo. We love to take Bella to the beach and local parks in Gosport and the surrounding areas where she runs off her Cockapoo energy! I’m really looking forward to sharing our home with your beloved doggies for some fun walks and lots of love and attention. I am DBS checked, Dog First Aid trained and have a Diploma in Petsitting.

Hi, my name is Laura. I live in Fareham with my husband Richard and our loveable Irish Setter Gerry. I am a PhD Candidate in Education at the University of Winchester. I have always loved dogs, growing up with many dogs in the family of many different breeds. I have regularly cared for dogs for friends and family and our home is like a second home to dogs who stay. DHH has been crucial for us when we have needed them to care for Gerry and we understand just how important it is to feel that your dog is well looked after, happy, and safe. We love exploring the local areas on walkies, spending lots of time playing and snuggling up watching a film and we look forward to your lovely dogs joining us soon.
