Welcome to Different Strokes petsitting

At Different Strokes your furry friend is my absolute priority and that is why every moment is committed completely to their wellbeing. I offer a completely flexible range of services which can be tailored to you and your best friends specific needs – your dedicated time can be used however it best serves.

Your time can be tailored ongoing or as a one off to meet your specific needs. If you have any special training you need help with or you just need an extra set of hands to manage a visit to the vet the service is flexible enough to cater for your every need.

Different Strokes offer the following:

Individual one-on-one dog walks tailored to your pet, as well as small, friendly, group walks for fun socialisation and play.
Pet sitting during the day or evening for cats, dogs and small pets. Including feeding, cage and/or litter tray cleaning, short walks or time in your garden, and plenty of cuddles!

Dog walking

Walks are dedicated time so your prize pooch will have my undivided attention. If your dog is sociable and likes to mix, there are a wide range of parks and woodlands that I incorporate in my walk circuits with ample opportunity for meet and greets along the way. If however your dog is more inclined to walk alone, is nervous or has any behavioural issues then again I have a circuit of ‘safe’ walks where the likely intervention with our dogs is kept to a minimum.

Whether your furry friend is up for a fun night in or just needs some daytime company, sits by the hour are available from 9am to 11:59 pm. If we’re having a full on night in, the evening activities as are as the 4 legged client desires from games with favourite toys to cuddling up with a good film. As its your pets dedicated time we can spend it how they choose.
For our canine cuties sits will include time for comfort breaks and for our feline and smaller furry friends there will be a litter tray freshen up. Food top and water tops ups are standard as required.

Cat sitting

For pets that desperately need their home comforts are aren’t able to stay away in kennels, vacation sits can also be arranged. A specific package can be worked through with you, tailored to your needs to ensure that your pet gets the right amount of company so you can relax while you are away knowing everything is kept as normal as possible to elevate any over stressing in your absence.
If your little one needs any special treatment such as administering medication this can also be arranged with prior consultation to make sure that everything is to the book.

Overnight sitting

Overnighters are normally offered at your home so that when you’re away your pet still has all the normal home comforts; plus there’s the added bonus that to any perspective wrong-doers your property is inhabited and secure.

Caged pets – hamsters/degus/rats/mice etc

Cages would be cleaned if necessary, food and water would be changed. Play time outside of their cage if the little fellow likes it.

Small pets – rabbits and guinea pigs

Cages would be cleaned if necessary. fresh food and water would be given as well as outside their cage play and interactions.
