Daisy Dog Training

Hi, I’m Caroline! Dogs are such an important part of my life, that unconditional love and wagging tail always makes me smile. I believe that kindness, patience and understanding are an integral foundation for a happy, healthy dog. It is a privilege to share our lives with our canine companions, mine is shared with a full of life Spaniel and a laid back Labrador. They have been the kick-start for researching canine behaviour, often to find solutions to behavioural issues we experience but mostly to develop our communication together as a family.

Through years of volunteering at local rescue organisations, assisting at local puppy classes, and working as a Veterinary Nursing Assistant, I have experience with different breeds, ages and behaviours. The most effective training solutions are modern, science based methods grounded in reward based positive reinforcement.

As a Puppy School Tutor I am qualified to train using force free methods which are fast and effective. Positive reinforcement during training, early socialisation and play prevents behavioural issues from developing as your puppy embarks on the journey through adolescence to adulthood. I am passionate about animal welfare and helping your family understand, communicate and live in harmony with your canine companions happily ever after!

I am constantly looking to improve my dog training skills, so I regularly attend training courses, workshops and seminars held by leading animal scientists, and world expert dog trainers. I am also proud to call myself a volunteer at the Blue Cross Newport Rehoming Centre, assessing dogs and cats for rehoming and training and preparing kennel dogs for their new homes.
