Cultured Canine Dog Training

Our Story

Cultured Canine Dog Training began in 2018,  offering Puppy and group classes, 1-2-1 behaviour work & dog walking. Since then, the business has grown exponentially until we were running 9 group classes per week from puppy to advanced and individual private sessions throughout the week.  Cultured Canine Dog Training was created with an emphasis on training being fun for both dog and human. Our family friendly classes allow the whole family to get involved and feel at ease to ask questions and advice throughout. Private sessions allow tailoring of training and behaviour work in a completely non-judgemental, reward based way. We use the most up-to-date theory and methods to deliver all of our training with reqular CPD to keep us up to date.

In June 2022, we have re-incorporated dog walking to our services with the addition of Natasha to the team. We now also offer Dog Grooming & Pet Photography and our name was changed to Cultured Canine Dog Services to reflect this.

We cover all areas in the north of york (Easingwold, Strensall Haxby, Thirsk, Malton, Tollerton, Huby, Clifton Moor) plus central York.

Dog Walking & Drop ins

There are many reasons people like to use a dog walker. Whether it be work, time committments, injury or you just like your pooch coming out with someone different, we offer tailored dog walking for individual dogs & in small groups. We are comfortable taking anxious and reactive dogs, providing we have the availability to give them an individual slot.

Our no.1 aim with our walks is that your dog has fun! It’s so important that your dog enjoys their walks with us which means we will NEVER put them in situations they find stressful or scary. Each walk and walk group is tailored to the dogs to ensure they come home content.

We can also include checking water dishes are full, putting food down or delivering medications at no extra charge at the end of their walks. In the winter, your dog will get those muddy paws wiped down before they arrive back home. Regular updates of your walk will be sent to you (videos & pictures) so you can see what your furry family member has been up to on their walks.

Our dog walker, Natasha is fully insured, DBS checked and educated in animal management & behaviour.

We will require a meet and greet for all new clients before walks commence.

Dog Grooming

I hold a Diploma in Dog Grooming and currently undergoing my Level 7 in Grooming. All my dogs have high maintenance grooming needs and have been worked with to love the grooming experience. As a Trainer & Behaviour specialist, I have worked with dogs who have struggled with grooming to gradually build up a positive association with the experience.

My aim is to offer stress free grooming for your pets. I do not use restraints, muzzles or force and our pace is set entirely by your dog. This style of grooming is not for everyone – some would prefer the job to be done promptly, without the need to build a rapport with the dog first but I feel passionately that grooming should be a fun experience for your dog.
