Welcome to Cuddle Cosy Cattery

A purpose built cat only boarding facility constructed in 2014. Heated and fully insulated building containing ten individual units, each with its own outside area for a spot of bird watching and sun bathing.

 We aim to provide many of the comforts of home; cosy beds, relaxing atmosphere, privacy for shy or nervous cats, socialising for the more gregarious visitors.

We encourage exercise and stimulation through play and have regular cuddle sessions for those who enjoy the personal touch.

As far as possible we try to accommodate all food preferences and dietary requirements. Prescription diets need to be supplied by owners.

In order to keep our guests comfortable we set up our units according to season. When the weather is cold the heating is on a timer to ensure a constant temperature throughout the building day and night.

Cosy beds sit on carpet squares and thermal blankets are used on sitting areas. In warmer weather cooler plastic beds with lighter bedding is used and windows kept open for ventilation and access to the outside area. Covered litter boxes are used outside in the warmer months to keep the inside of the building fresh.

CuddleCosy Cattery

Anne has always been an animal lover and has had cats of her own for 25 years and decided to take the plunge to full time animal care in 2011 undertaking a course of study at Barony College before starting the business.

Cuddlecosy Cottage is situated in a rural setting surrounded by open fields one mile east of Castle Douglas with the Cattery within the garden area.

Units are designed to house individual animals but have clear sliding partitions making them suitable for family groups of two or three.

All bedding, feeding bowls and toys are provided but you are welcome to bring your own if your pet has a particular favourite.

Each unit has its own cat flap which will be kept locked for inside only cats.
