Clifftop Boarding Kennels and Cattery is a family owned business that has been loving and caring for other people’s pets for 34 years.

 
 

Our facilities consist of purpose built luxury kennels in 4½ acres of landscaped Lincolnshire countryside and individually heated cat chalets, each with its own run, set amongst herbaceous borders and shrubberies.

We provide exceptional service, care and safety for your pets in a beautiful country setting giving you peace of mind that your pet dog or cat is being loved and cared for in your absence.

We provide day care and holiday boarding for cats and dogs across the East Midlands including Lincoln, Gainsborough, Market Rasen, Kirton Lindsey, Scunthorpe, Nottingham, Grimsby, Peterborough and Doncaster.

We also specialise in long term boarding for those times when an extended absence can not be avoided.

We encourage new clients to visit the boarding kennels and satisfy themselves of the high standard of accommodation and care taken with your pets. If you would like to visit before booking, an appointment is not required. Unlike many other kennels, we are open for impromptu inspections anytime from Monday to Saturday, 11am – 4.30pm.

Our kennels and cattery are sited on 4½ acres of beautiful countryside on the Lincolnshire ridge. Landscaped with mature beech hedges, herbaceous borders and large shrubberies, we have two grassed paddocks for morning and afternoon walks.

The kennels are purpose designed and built with your pet’s safety and comfort in mind. They are inspected and licensed by West Lindsey District Council and visited weekly by their dog warden. We also have access to a 24 hour emergency call out service from Lincoln’s Veterinary Hospital.

Your pet will, of course, be given his or her own pen. We have singles, doubles and triples so that pets from the same family can be housed together if required.

We provide baskets and fleece blankets so your pet will be comfy during their stay. Leads for walking, and water and feeding bowls are provided by us, but please bring along any favorite toys.

Each block is equipped with under floor central heating, designed and imported from Sweden. This keeps our dogs warm, even when their external run hatch is open.

Long Term Boarding

For the last 25 years we have worked closely with the County’s Social Services Departments. Occasionally they bring us a pet who’s owner may have been taken into hospital or is unable to cope for a variety of other reasons. Some of these dogs stay with us for a number of months so we have developed special care facilities to make our long term boarders feel even more at home. If your pet needs long term care please give us a call and we can discuss special requirements, rates and any other queries you may have.

Our cat chalets are set in a tranquil square, surrounded by dense evergreen hedging. In the centre are herbaceous plants and shrubs designed to attract butterflies and songbirds.

From the safety of their outside runs our feline guests sunbathe or intently track the antics of the wildlife.

Each chalet is insulated and has its own heater. There is a window, basket shelf, door and optional cat flap. Outside, the covered runs hold enclosed litter trays. All chalets and runs have additional security passages.

If your cat has his or her own basket and/or bedding, please bring it with you. Any favourite toys are also appreciated.

All prices below are a guide price and will also be dependant on the condition of your dogs coat and their temperament whilst grooming.

Cats are intended to teach us that not everything in nature has a purpose.’

All dogs and cats boarded must be fully vaccinated against the diseases listed below. Please ensure that the vaccination or its booster are administered within 12 months of your holiday return date.

Please note we do not insist on the kennel cough vaccine but we strongly recommend it. If you do choose to have it done there needs to be a minimum four week wait period after having the vaccine and a dog coming in to board at the kennels.

Don’t forget to bring your up to date veterinary certificate with you. We will not accept any dogs or cats without sight of this document.

There is no sincerer love than the love of food

 

Our policy is to try not to upset your pet’s routine. That is why we feed them exactly the same diet as you feed them at home.

When booking in, we take details of brands or types of food. We then provide this or a similar alternative within the price structure. If, however, it includes specialist foods or diets we may ask you to bring it with you, or we may charge a supplement.

Water is permanently available and refreshed regularly. Cat biscuits are also available throughout the day in the chalets.

For cats we have both wet and dry food available.

Our daily rates for pets:
