Welcome to Cheshire Creature Comforts!

How can we help?

Hello and welcome to Cheshire Creature Comforts. My name is Gareth and I am here to help you meet all the needs of your pets, whether it is walking your dog, providing your new puppy with a play break or feeding and caring for your smaller animals during your holiday.

I have been a pet owner for over 30 years; owning dogs, cats, rabbits, fish, turtles, hamsters and guinea pigs during this time. I wanted to take my love of animals and do something useful, so in 2015 Cheshire Creature Comforts was born. I have over 6 years of experience of providing families and animals with personally tailored support and pride myself on my high levels of customer service.

My aim is to take care of your animals when you are not able to due to work or family commitments and I offer a range of services to help put your mind at ease. I know that pets are an important part of the family and will endeavour to ensure that I look after them with the same love and care that they receive from you. I offer flexible care, designed to fit around your specific needs as well as ad-hoc services where required.

Alongside my experience as a pet owner I have also completed diplomas in pet sitting and canine behaviour. I have had animal first aid training and am a fully registered member of NARPS. I am also fully DBS (CRB) checked. I hold pet business insurance as well as key holder insurance to ensure that you and your animals are offered maximum protection.

COVID update: To ensure maximum protection during COVID I am able to offer contact-free collection and drop-off. If I need to enter your house I gel my hands and wear a face covering to ensure maximum protection. I use my own leads to ensure there is no cross-contamination and have a thorough cleaning regime for both my equipment and my van. If you are self-isolating due to COVID I am able to offer short-term walks while you are unable to leave your home.

Dog Services

At Cheshire Creature Comforts I offer a range of bespoke services for you and your dog and aim to be as flexible as possible so if you do not see the service you require below please contact me. I am happy to walk dogs of any size and temperament. When I complete your dog’s home visit I can discuss your individual needs. your dog’s safety is of paramount importance to me and I am fully insured as well as having a canine first-aid certificate.

For dog walking, I pride myself on my flexible and individual approach and will contact you each Sunday to check your requirements for the week ahead.  Ad-hoc walks are available for shift workers where required.

Dog Walks

For dog walking I will pick up your dog from your home in my van fitted with crates for safety. Then I will take your dog on the walk length of your choice either individually or in a group, depending on the service you have chosen and drop him back home afterwards. I will give him a towel down and ensure he is left with fresh water. Same family dog discounts apply.

Group walk: £9 for half an hour, £12 an hour.

Two dogs from the same household group walk: £14 for half an hour, £20 an hour.

**Please contact me if you require individual walks.

Puppy Play Breaks

Your puppy may be too young to go out or may not yet be up to a longer walk so I will visit your home and give your puppy a comfort break. I will let him out for a toilet break and clear up any mess. We will then spend the rest of our time having a play to use up some of his energy! As your puppy gets older you may want me to take him on a short walk as part of the play break.

Puppy play break: £9 for half an hour.

I will come for a free home visit to meet your dog before I begin walking him so I can find out about his individual needs.

Small Animal Services

As an animal lover you may own smaller animals such as hamsters, rabbits, chickens or fish. These animals need feeding and looking after while you are away. I will visit your home to ensure your animals have food, water and (if needed) clean bedding.

Small Animal Feed

I will visit your house daily and make sure your animal has food and fresh water. For an extra charge I can also clean your animal’s cage/ living area out for them.

One daily visit: £7.

Cat Services

If you’re going away on holiday not all cats are happy to be put into a cat box and taken to the cattery. I can take away the stress for you and your cat by visiting your home and ensuring your cat is fed and watered. I can even let her in and out so she can keep her freedom while you are away.

Cat feed and let in/out

I will visit your house daily and ensure your cat has access to fresh food and water. If you require, I can let your cat in and out, following a routine that suits you and your cat.
