Cats Tales Pet Care

Be the first to review

Welcome to Cats Tales Pet Care Services. I am here to offer peace of mind when you go on holiday or a work trip and are leaving your pets at home. My name is Emma and I provide a caring and professional pet care service in Bicester and the surrounding area. Outside the area? Don’t hesitate to contact me to see if I can help!

Whether you are going away for a few weeks or just the weekend I can help you out by providing care and husbandry for your feline or small furry friends so that you don’t have to worry.

About Me

From a very young age I have had a love and fascination with animals. There was always a family cat and then I got my first goldfish when I was 10 years old. I have, since then, shared my home with hamsters, cats, rabbits, chickens, fish, a lobster, aquatic frogs, guinea pigs and snails.

Veterinary nursing was the logical career path for me to take and I qualified in 1994. I am a registered veterinary nurse (RVN) with an International Society in Feline Medicine’s certificate in feline nursing and I worked in various small animal practices for many years. My main interests in practice were feline medicine and behaviour, theatre work, intensive care and radiography. I am currently not in practice but hope to return one day. I complete a number of hours of CPD per year to keep up to date with the latest in nursing techniques and animal husbandry, to keep my RVN status and stay on the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeon’s register.

I have 6 cats of my own, 4 chickens, 3 rabbits, 2 snails and various fish and a very understanding husband. My entire life revolves around loving and caring for my pets and your’s.

I am fully insured with Petplan Sanctuary.

I take the security of your home very seriously, so will never disclose that you are away from home and I keep all keys securely.

Services

I am happy to care for cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and other small furries, tortoises, reptiles, fish, caged birds, ducks and chickens.

Care includes:

  • Feeding and topping up water bowls for all the above
  • Lots of TLC
  • Changing litter trays
  • Opening and closing cat flaps
  • Play and cuddle time
  • Checking bunnies bottoms and cleaning out cages and runs
  • Cleaning out small furry’s and bird’s cages
  • Administration of medications including injections, tablets and eye drops
  • Cleaning up of any accidents.

Home Security:

I can adjust things around the home to make sure your house always appears lived in, ie. picking up post, adjusting lights and curtains and getting bins in and out.

Plant care:

I am happy to water indoor plants and gardens as I am a keen gardener myself and know how precious our prize plants can be as well as our beloved pets.

Help with home medical care:

As a registered veterinary nurse I am able to help you in your home with any treatment that has been prescribed by your vet. I can administer tablets, injections and topical treatments if you find it difficult yourself. I can also help with medical grooming, for example clipping dirty bottoms or around eyes. I can also clip claws. I will always ask you to seek medical advice from your vet.
