Canine Lodge Wirral

Small friendly home from home dog boarding and daycare service located in Thingwall near Heswall on the Wirral, offering a warm homely stay for two possibly three home loving canines within our own home. Ideal for both the younger dog with energy to run off on the local beaches and recreational areas or for the older more nervous pet who may not do so well in a larger unit. Safe secure boarding that leaves you free to relax and enjoy your holidays, respite or work commitment.
Puppies welcome once fully vaccinated and health checked (Free basic training and socialization for duration of stay).

About

We are not a boarding kennel but offer safe comfortable accommodation for your dog within our own home. If possible we will follow your dogs usual exercise routine at a location familiar to them or depending on the breed and temperament they can come along with Jake for a shaded woodland walk or a paddle on the beach.

We can accommodate a maximum of two dogs together with our own dog Jake the gentle giant pictured on the right.

Like most Newfoundland’s Jake enjoys the water and we are members of The Northern Newfoundland Club “Canis Major” a water training group for the Newfoundland dog, during the summer months any borders who like to swim and enjoy the water are always welcome to join us for a swim if they wish.

If boarding your dog for the first time or simply visiting please be aware that Jake our resident Newfoundland, gentle giant and friend is no longer with us, sadly age caught up with Jake and Missy our Labrador friend who was often by his side, both of whom have now crossed to a new life but remain with us in spirit and through the many photographs on the website.

The majority of our boarders and daycares are now small to medium breeds and have boarded with us for many years, all are well socialized and great companions not only to us but to any new boarder(s) arriving for the first time.
