Welcome to Bruno’s Buddies! We offer personal, professional, safe and secure in-home care for your dogs, cats, fish, birds, rabbits, hamsters and reptiles. Based in West Allotment and covering Wallsend, we also provide walking, boarding, grooming and day care services for your pooch, in addition to puppy visits and cat sitting.
Bruno’s Buddies is operated by Phil, a qualified animal carer, who is DBS (formerly CRB) police checked, fully insured, licensed by North Tyneside Council and a Pet First Aider and has received a 5 star rating from the council.
Our aim is to provide you and your pets with the best possible bespoke service customised to your individual needs. We realise how valuable your pets are and that you need reassurance that they are receiving the love and attention that you would give them yourself whilst in our care. Our aim is to ensure your pets are always happy and healthy upon your arrival home.
We like to have an initial consultation: At your free meet and greet appointment, we will ascertain as much information as we can about your particular pet(s). This will help ensure that we can provide the best possible care during your absence.

Bruno’s Buddies offers a safe, reliable dog walking service for owners who may be out at work all day or someone elderly that wants the companionship of a dog but finds walking difficult. We offer a flexible daily or occasional service to suit your needs. Walks can be tailored to your dog’s age and fitness requirements. Our comprehensive insurance policy covers on or off lead walks depending on your preference and the dog’s ability to demonstrate a solid recall.
Walks tailored to your dog
We can walk your dog in very carefully chosen groups of up to five other dogs for socialisation, fun and play. When we drop your dog off, we will either provide them with a dry towel rub and brush or a light shower (at your discretion). We will also leave you a detailed doggy diary to let you know how they got on, give fresh water or food/treats depending on your instructions and ensure the dogs are settled and happy before we leave. If required, a dog sitting service is also available for customers in West Allotment and Wallsend.

A home from home alternative for your dog
As part of our dog boarding service, your dog will stay in our house as part of the family in a caring and cosy home environment. Your dog will play and socialise with us and other dogs. A visit to our home before your dog stays with us is most welcome and will help familiarise your dog with his play day environment. Your dog is welcome to bring his or her own toys/blankets etc, for that little bit of extra comfort. Should your dog require feeding please ensure to provide them with a packed lunch. We will walk your dog twice during their stay at no extra cost and ensure that they will not be without human companionship for any longer than 2 hours during their day. We will pick up your dog between 9am and 10am and drop your loved one back at home between 4pm and 5pm.
. All dogs should be fully up to date with annual vaccinations, de-wormed and given appropriate flea treatment prior to their stay.
. We cannot accept any dogs with human or canine aggression issues or bitches in season.
. Daycare dogs must be fully toilet trained and have basic obedience.
House Sitting
Generally, dogs are homebodies. They are healthiest and happiest when life is comfortable and straightforward. So, when you’re away, the kindest and best arrangement is to leave them at home in their familiar environment following their normal routines. House Sitting with Bruno’s Buddies could be the solution. One of our team can stay in your home and care for your pet/s in the manner and surroundings they are accustomed to. If you have multiple animals, this option may work out cheaper and easier than organising separate care for each of them. We also offer dog walking and grooming, should this be required.
Cat Sitting
Cat sitting is the purr-fect alternative to catteries. Cats are creatures of habit, and being independent, prefer to stay at home and follow their normal routine. They have their own bed, familiar surroundings and regular human contact. We visit once or twice a day to see that all your cats’ needs are catered for. Having a professional pet-sitter visiting your home means added peace of mind and greater home security. Curtains can be opened and closed, lights turned on and off, post moved, and bins put out. This gives your home a lived-in look, which may deter unwanted attention. This service is also available for small pets such as rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils, hamsters, birds and exotics. We can feed and clean according to your normal care routines. This option also has the added benefit of increasing home security with a professional pet sitter visiting your home daily.

Regular dog grooming is vital in promoting the health of your pooch. In addition to keeping the coat clean and fresh, as dog groomers, we are able to conduct health checks and detect any skin problems, unwanted parasites, and identify issues that may need to be raised with a vet. Here at Bruno’s Buddies, our qualified dog groomers offer full grooms, trims, nail clipping, hygiene cleans and bathing and drying.
