Breckspride Gundogs are breeders and trainers of Working Labradors and Spaniels. Based in the heart of Norfolk we offer healthy, well bred, pups, trained or part trained dogs to the Shooting Community, Government Agencies, SAR or Detection Dog Handlers.
Steve & Suzanne Swallow train and work gundogs and search dogs in the Norfolk area. Their pursuit of the best well rounded, healthy and biddable dogs for their respective disciplines, has brought about their own desire to breed working dogs.
These lines are bred for many attributes, drive, bidability, bond, and more.
Aside from offering that well bred companion, we can also help you get pup off to the best start with its training, and continue to help you and your pup with your training journey should it be needed.
We do not normally breed our pups for Pet Homes, due to their working nature, however from time to time we do have pups within litters that would not meet the exacting standards of their working siblings. So please do not let that deter you from contacting us about your new pup.

Trained Labrador Availability
We currently have a 6 month black male lab coming to the end of his basic obedience training, we can of course bring him on with further specific gundog training should you wish.
We will have 3 further black labs available in around 4-6 months, we can of course bring these on with further specific gundog training should you wish.
We will have 2 fully trained black Lab Peg Dogs 1 male and 1 female available for the 2024/2025 shooting season, trained on our Pup2Peg programme.

Breckspride Gundogs are passionate about all things Labrador. Not only do we breed for gundog training, we also breed for quality driven dogs that are used by Government Agencies, Search & Rescue or Detection Dogs.
All our pups are bred based upon the need from our clients, and we do not breed speculatively.
Pups are raised in the home, and are socialised and habituated, and even basic things like recall are started before they even leave us.
All puppies are vet checked, come with vaccinations, KC registered, and micro chipped as you would expect from a responsible breeder.
All matings for puppies are carried out with care and attention, ensuring that any Sire we use is a complement to our bitch, and both need be biddable, of excellent health and perfect temprement.
Aside from breeding quality puppies, we can also breed and train for you.
Our part train pups leave here around 6 months old, and:-
Willunderstand its name
Have good onlead heelwork
Will have started offlead heelwork
Good General Obedience – Sit, Down, Bed Etc.
Basic Whistle Commands – This Way, Stop(Sit), Recall
House Trained
Crate Trained
Well Socialised
All pups leave here with full lifetime back up and help available.
