Boops & Barks

Since 2010 I have been volunteering and working within the dog industry through boarding/rehoming kennels, grooming salons & dog walking businesses. Through the years I have undergone numerous training courses for grooming, dog behaviour/body language and canine first aid.

It was always my dream to have my own salon and in July 2021 that came true!

I follow fear free practices meaning I don’t force dogs through the stress of a groom if it’s not within their best interests. I am happy to work with dogs at their individual pace. If it takes splitting up appointments that’s exactly what we will do. You would be surprised how many dogs love coming for a groom as they know it involves treats, toys and cuddles.

When I’m not in the salon you will find me walking, training and showing my own dog Rodney. Rodney is self appointed customer services liason. He likes to bring toys as a gesture of good will to nervous dogs being groomed. He loves a good chat and is very obliging to those who fancy a play and game of tug of war.
