ABOUT ME

My name is Abby and I’m the proud owner of a 7-year-old Labrador named Bonnie and a 4-year-old cheeky Chihuahua named Buddy, they are the reason Bon Dog Walks began.

Bon Dog Walks is a GPS tracked dog walking service covering Hatfield and Welwyn Garden City.

After 18 years in hospitality, my love for my first dog Bonnie (AKA Bon Dog) brought me to the realisation I wanted to work with dogs. I then gained 2 years of experience group walking before deciding to launch Bon Dog Walks in 2020.

I own a crated, air-conditioned van, I am fully insured, DBS checked, hold a pet first-aid certificate and have a 4 star boarding licence issued by Welwyn & Hatfield council.

My services include 1-hour group dog walks, Home from Home dog boarding and 30-minute puppy visits for those not yet old enough to join in the fun.

If you are looking for help whilst out at work or just an opportunity for your dog to socialise, please get in touch. Bonnie, Buddy and I would love to hear from you.

Services

Our group adventures are great fun for dogs of all sizes. I choose remote locations so the dogs can play freely, carefully considering the unloading and loading of the dogs that ensure their safety. Group walks last a minimum of 1 hour which doesn’t include traveling to and from the walk itself.

If you are happy to give permission, pictures of every walk are shared on my Facebook page daily and the route map is sent directly to you so you can see where your dog has been a what they’ve been up to.

If your dog gets a bit mucky then this is no problem, every dog is washed using our onboard vehicle cleaning equipment and towel-dried before being returned to your home.

Dog Walking

Choosing the right walker for your dog is an important decision. I believe the walker needs to be right for the dog as well as the dog for the walker, also taking into consideration the other dogs already being walked.

I will always come to meet you and your dog before any walk and am happy for you to accompany me on a trail walk to see how your dog gets on. I am careful to ensure the dogs I walk live in a reasonable area so no dog will be traveling in the van for too long which is even more important in the summer months.

I have included some useful tips from the dog’s trust, that you should consider when selecting your dog walker.  Should you choose to use Bon Dogs Walks I will happily supply evidence of all points covered within their guidance.
