 Barker and Yapp are delighted to welcome you, and offer a dog grooming service where KINDNESS and consideration of your dog, their needs and lifestyle are of utmost importance.   With these principles in mind I founded Barker & Yapp in Lewes 11 years ago.  I am fully trained, insured and I never tie my customers up to groom them, because I work as hard as possible on establishing, and maintaining a bond of affection and trust.   Achieving this relationship with a dog gives me a wonderful sense of satisfaction and privilege and it is really, why I do what I do..

A great many of my clients have busy and active lifestyles and I try to make life easier, , by suggesting styles that are smart but simple to maintain,.  I am always happy to offer tips, techniques and advice on how to care for you dog’s coat at home, and many other matters regarding the care of your pet.  

I am happy to offer a home visit service for elderly dogs or owners,, for dogs of a nervous disposition or just to help people out who for whatever reason, are unable to visit Barker & Yapp.

Your dog will first receive a free 7 point health check, and I will let you know if I spot any changes or potential issues.  I can also help with fleas ticks dry skin etc etc. 

Barker & Yapp provides a comprehensive grooming service which includes in the price:  bathing, clipping, styling  and nails ear hair, glands etc should they require attention.  I also do hand stripping.   I prefer to use natural grooming products.

The price depends on the size of the dog and the amount of work involved but is generally £30 £35 or £40  

I can also offer a little in between “Top and Tail” for dogs who don’t need a full clip but can’t actually see where they’re going  £10
