Our kennel accommodation is suitable for all sizes and numbers of dogs including quiet areas for nervous animals with special kennels for working and guard dogs. Your dog has separate day and night kennels and is personally handled between kennels twice daily. Touch is very important to most pet dogs.
- Both day and night kennels are cleaned daily with parvovirucide ensuring a clean, safe environment for your dog
- Your dog is walked daily in our large grounds, on a one-to-one basis
- A tara bed with soft bedding is provided day and night; this is changed every two days or more frequently if required. Toys are supplied where appropriate
- If your dog is with us for two or more days your dog is bathed and brushed to ensure no kennel smells
- All kennel blocks are on a controlled temperature throughout the night
- Food is provided to your requirements
- Your dog is fully insured whilst with us for everything other than existing conditions
- All staff looking after your dog are qualified and fully trained to do so
- We are happy to give medications, both short and long term
- If your dog is nervous in kennels we will spend whatever time is required to ensure that he/she comes round to enjoy their stay
- Dogs are individually kennelled but able to see other dogs to keep them stimulated
- Large family kennels are available on request
Quality Cattery Service Nottingham & Derby
Our small, intimate cattery is fully enclosed and controlled to a constant temperature. Most pens have an outside window and an upstairs/downstairs. All pens are cleaned daily and the cat resident gets cuddled and groomed too.

Quite simply because we love dogs – and cats! We’re famous for our Dog Rescue work. Many of the dogs that we re-home return to visit us in the Boarding Kennels year after year. It’s nice to stay in touch!
History of Babbington Hall Boarding Kennels
Prior to being a major boarding facility Babbington used to have hunting horses and hounds on the site. This accommodation has now been converted into a large interior-only kennels and is still referred to as “The Stables”.
Boarding services have existed at Babbington since 1954; the present owners Tony, Yesmeen and Samantha Sanderson arrived in August 2003. Major improvements have taken place over this period both within the kennels and the customer facilities.
At the rear of the kennels is the only full facility private rescue in the UK dealing with over 1% of the country’s abandoned dogs; much of the earnings from the boarding kennels go to support this valuable work finding new homes for dogs from the local areas who are less fortunate than your own. Most were someone’s beloved pet prior to arriving with us.
Staff
All of our full time staff are fully qualified; all qualifications are on display in our reception. We encourage staff to take relevant courses in order to continue their learning.
Our ratio of dogs to staff is lower than most establishments.

What You Get
Call for a quote if you have multiple pets who need boarding or if you need a stay of over three weeks.
The rate is inclusive of:
- Any standard foods fed twice daily
- Tara Bed with Bedding changed every two days
- One-to-one walk on extensive grounds
- If boarding for two nights or more your dog will be bathed and brushed ready for collection
- Full insurance for any non-existing conditions/problems that may occur during the stay
For more than one dog boarding, multiple occupancy or long stays, please call for a quote.
