Opening in February 2017, the 5000-square-foot dog daycare centre is based on Essex Street, and includes a spacious play arena, a Puppy Club, a dog salon as well as a boutique packed with recommended canine care products. Auntie’s Doggie Daycare Preston follows in the footsteps of Auntie’s original outlet, located in nearby Bamber Bridge and a firm favourite with pet owners for almost 10 years. Like the flagship branch, Auntie’s new central Preston premises provide specialist dog daycare and grooming services – everything the responsible dog owner could want.

he day to day operations of the Centre are managed by Emma, an experienced dog owner, handler and professional who has been rigorously trained by Auntie Lisa using the Aunties in-house training programme. Emma commented, “As a dog owner, I understand how important it is to know your pet is well cared for. Auntie’s is staffed by dog carers who not only love dogs, but who understand dog behaviour, and can make sure your dog has plenty of fun and exercise in the safest possible way.

“We are open from 7am until 6.30pm so busy pet-owners can get their pets settled in before heading off to work, safe in the knowledge that they are being well looked after from the moment they walk through the doors.”

Emma continued, “It’s not about leaving dogs to entertain themselves; structured activities like treasure hunts and assault courses challenge dogs, and keep them active and engaged. Auntie’s pups are encouraged to explore, socialise, and learn canine etiquette – or ‘doggie manners’! – which makes for happier, healthier dogs in the long-term.”

In line with Auntie’s safe, stimulating and sociable ethos, the new Preston centre is happy to welcome all dogs that meet its neutering, inoculation and behavioural requirements.

The whole team looks forward to welcoming local dogs and puppies – and, of course, their human friends.

Daycare and Puppy Club

At Auntie’s Doggie Daycare Preston we recognise that people have busy lives and that the health and wellbeing of their dogs is important to them. Aunties Doggie Daycare is about removing the anxiety of having to leave your dog home alone whilst you spend a long day at work, then have to come home and exercise them.

What is Doggie Daycare?

At Auntie’s Doggie Daycare Preston we provide a high quality daycare service for your dog in our customised daycare facility between Monday and Friday each week* (*excluding public holidays and centre holidays).

Dogs naturally socialise together and gain a lot of stimulation from interacting with each other. Providing this is done in a professional and sympathetic manner, dogs can learn canine etiquette (doggie manners!) and are soon enjoying rewarding days at daycare.

To enable us to provide safe, stimulating care, Aunties Doggie Daycare has some “School Rules” that must be adhered to for not only the safety your dog but also our other dogs and staff. These rules include neutering and inoculation requirements as well as an assessment of behavioural tendencies.

What are the facilities?

The 5,000 square foot facility boasts a large open exercise arena, a dedicated rest area, Puppy Daycare and Birthday Party Room.

The large exercise arena has, play pits, slides, climbing frames tunnels and much much more to ensure your dog has a fun packed day.

The rest area has sleep pods so that the dogs can relax and sleep in peace.
The centre is open from 7.00am to satisfy the needs of those who need to get to work and is open until 6.30pm for collections.

On a daily basis activities are organised to stimulate the dogs and these range from general play to treasure hunts and dog agility.

Puppy Club

A specially designed day care service for your young pup to learn the skills they need around other dogs. This is the perfect stepping stone to full doggie daycare.

Puppies are able to start as soon as they have completed their vaccination courses and have been cleared to mix with other dogs by your vet, this is usually around 12 weeks.

They are given special care by our staff, allowing times for meals and naps as required and we provide the pawfect environment for them to grow and socialise.

From playing with other puppies, they are gradually introduced to other day care dogs and they go for walks along with the other dogs to experience as much as possible and get them fully socialised.

Auntie’s Dog Spa

At Aunties Dog Spa we offer grooming and spa services to our canine stars. We seek to use the best available shampoos and conditioners, in conjunction with the most up to date grooming techniques and top of the range equipment in a relaxing environment that minimises the stress to the dog, keeping them clam and content.

Our grooms and spa treatments are designed to ensure that your dog’s coat, paws, eyes and ears are easy for you to maintain and most importantly keep the dog healthy.

What Services Does the Doggie Spa Offer?

The Spa enables you to drop your dog off and collect them at an agreed time later in the day.

As part of our service we offer a full consultation, prior to your first groom, to help pet owners find a manageable style for their dog that suits the dog’s lifestyle.

Our fabulous range of bath and body treatments are formulated with the finest botanical plant and flower extracts to create therapies that will revitalise your dog and enhance their overall wellbeing.
