Welcome to Arcklebear Gundogs

My name is Clare Baker, I am the proud owner and Gundog trainer at Arcklebear Gundogs based in Herefordshire. I own seven Labradors, two Cocker Spaniels and one Springer Spaniel. Each one of my dogs has helped me develop as a dog trainer. I feel that it is vital to have an adaptable training approach and treat each dog as an individual.

To date, I have trained and gained numerous awards in Field trials and working tests – including making up three Retriever Field Trial Champions, Open award winning Spaniels, Novice Field Trial Winners, award winners and I have won Open and Novice Working Tests.

I am an experienced A Panel Retriever Judge. I offer gundog and basic obedience training to all variety of Retriever and Gundog breeds.

TRAINING

I also offer one-to-one training for all gundog breeds (if not a retriever breed, I will focus on obedience and retrieving skills). These sessions can be beneficial to your dog’s training, allowing you to work on specific problem areas.

PUPPY NEWS & UPDATES

Arcklebear gundogs are proud of being a small non commercial kennel, consisting of seven Labradors, three Cocker Spaniels and two Springer Spaniels. Occasionally we breed a litter to keep our line of dogs going and to make sure we have a full fit pack to work and compete with. We have produced several Field Trial champions and bred a number of Field Trial Winners. Breeding is something we take pride in, we work hard to research and find the correct fully health tested, working dog that we feel is compatible for our bitches.

Our stud dog are regularly used at stud. Occasionally there are puppies available from litters sired.
