Lynette knows the area very well as she has lived and worked around here most of her life. She is the main contact dealing with media, networking, bookings, consultations and all admin while AJ is literally hands (and face!) on with the animals. Both have a huge passion and dedication for ensuring all creatures are cared for and safe – so if only THE BEST will do…. Call AAH KLWN today!
AJ and Lynette live together in King’s Lynn with their four cats. Six-year-old Tigger is a big black and white male who we are sure thinks he is a dog – he is very obedient and cheeky and likes to laze on the sofa snuggled up to AJ in the evenings (usually on his back with his feet in the air!). His sister Twinkle is a tabby, with beautiful markings and the cutest ‘butter won’t melt’ look on her face. We call her Princess because she is just that, very gentle, calm and loves to cuddle. Recently we added the pure black one-year old twins; Tootsie and Twiglet. The terrible two (not really)! They are mischievous and always looking to run around and play, we have no spiders or flies in our house thanks to them!
AJ moved to King’s Lynn in 2014 from North Lincolnshire and will be the one who will be found rolling around the floor letting your animal play and tumble with her!
We provide the complete range of animal care services including dog walking, cat care, equine and smallholding care as well as looking after your plants and fish while you are away if you need that too!
The company operates DEFRA authorised animal ambulances / pet transport vehicles and holds a Type 2 Welfare in Transit animal transport license.
We look forward to meeting you and discussing yours and your pets personal needs and giving a second to none bespoke service to you and your pets.

We offer a friendly, reliable and professional cat care service for your cats in the familiar surroundings of their home. Many cats (and some owners) find the experience of cattery stressful and we aim to provide a real alternative.
Our Cat Care at Home service is ideal for all sorts of cats, from independent types that like to come and go as they please though a cat flap, to elderly cats that just want to sleep in their favourite spot and of course fuss and cuddles along the way.
Cat Care at Home visits include litter tray cleaning, feeding, changing water. We can even cater for cats on medication including diabetic cats as we are fully trained in administering tablets and injections.
We will also keep a good eye on your home ensuring that you can enjoy your holiday in peace.
Extract from an article written by a vet.
“In my opinion many cats would remain more relaxed at home and visited twice a day to be interacted with and left mentally challenging toys, instead of being shut up in a smaller environment with many other cats within sight and earshot which by the solitary nature of the species, would be stressful”.
Dr. Tim Watson, BVMS & MRCVS

Animals at Home provide a professional house sitting service in your own home whilst you are away.
Many people consider their pets as part of the family. They love, care and worry about them, as much as any other member of the family. Therefore the thought of going away and putting their pets into boarding establishments causes feelings of stress, guilt and unhappiness of going away.
Many animals find boarding establishments extremely stressful, as they do not receive the love, attention and cuddles they are use to in a family home. This is why Animals at Home offers this specialised service just for you.We provide alternative arrangements for pets when you go away, and give you total peace of mind by providing a trustworthy, experienced and reliable pet sitting and house sitting service.
Animals at Home will provide you with a house sitter who will live in your property to ensure security and peace of mind in your absence. The house sitters will care for your pets – take them for as many walks as you request, feed them at their usual times, groom them and, most important, the house sitter will give them lots of love and cuddles whilst you are away.
Because of the personalised service we offer – house sitting is very beneficial for owners who have pets with disabilities such as being blind, deaf, partially disabled, or are too old or timid for boarding establishments or diabetic. The house sitter will also administer medication and follow special diets or food regimes. We understand your pet’s needs and follow their normal regime and offer compassion and the experience to deal with any situation, we specialise with nervous or timid animals that require a lot of understanding, patience and attention.
Our house sitters are personally interviewed and carefully screened for their maturity and reliability. We look for people with a love for animals, an enthusiasm for caring for homes and a demonstrated awareness of security issues. All our house sitters have first class personal references.
We endeavour, where possible, to match sitters as closely as possible to your particular requirements.
We treat your pets with the same dignity and respect in death, that they deserved in life.

Do you work long hours? Sometimes away all day? Does your dog show signs of stress and boredom? Maybe you can’t walk your dog due to health reasons?
The Kennel Club recommends that a dog be walked for at least 30 to 40 minutes a day. We will come to your house and chat with you about your dog’s needs to ensure your dog has a walk suitable to his ability. Your dog may be more comfortable in an area they know, or happy to explore new places, we always ensure we offer the best possible walk for your dog.
Dog walking couldn’t be easier, contact us for a discussion on how you would like us to exercise your dog.
At Animals at Home we know how difficult it is to find someone to care for your smallholding while you’re away. With that in mind, we can provide a service that not only cares for your hobby animals (sheep, goats, pigs, alpacas, poultry etc) but can also tend to your home-grown vegetables and produce too.
When you need help or support, we can provide you with relief cover, or simply an extra pair of hands during busy periods. We will cover your holidays, when you attend shows, gatherings of family or friends, celebrations, or for any other occasions of absence.
With visits tailored to what you need and how you run your smallholding; we can ensure you get the service that fits your and your animal’s regime.
Animals at Home have many years experience in home-paddock horse and pony care. We can visit your horses and ponies in their own stables or paddock, turn them out, feed and water, carry out hands-on checks and bring them in again; all tailored to the care you already give them.
Advantages of using a Horse Sitter:
The avoid stress by being in their own environment
Not be at potential risk interacting with strange horses
Not be exposed to possible disease
Avoid the stress and time / costs of transporting
We ensure we tailor the care to your specific horses needs as we understand every horse is different and routine is important to them.
We need dog loving Home Boarding Host Families to join us to look after other people’s dogs….
Many of our families are retired people who enjoy the flexibility of caring for a pet without the full-time responsibility or may work from home and would like some company.
Alternatively, they may be at home during the day and would like to have a dog part-time. A visiting dog compliments their existing situation perfectly, whilst earning some additional income.
Becoming a Boarding Host!
Host Family Care – your dog deserves a holiday too!
We take great care in selecting our Host Families
All of our families have houses which are suitable and are dog lovers themselves.
They are fully interviewed and insured and only once a host family has been agreed by the Local franchisee, our Director of Veterinary services will agree the application. It takes a special kind of person to be able to offer the Animals at Home Hosting Pet Care Service.
It’s not just that our dog holidays offer a great alternative to boarding kennels or pet-sitting. They must also provide genuine affection and one-to-one attention, and their homes should be totally suitable for looking after your pet.
With such a variety of hosts to choose from, we can ensure that your dog will fit in – and that the environment will match as closely as possible, the sort of home he’s used to. We try to stick as closely as possible to the pet’s normal routine such as feed times and our carers will provide plenty of exercise and attention. All of our carer’s homes are safe and secure and we always match the best possible carer to your pet.
If your dog is used to an active, outdoor lifestyle we can provide this and if they are older and need a quiet home then we will use a carer who is best suited for this.
Our fantastic host families really are the heart of Animals at Home hosting dog care.
