Our Cattery
The well-established FAB (Feline Advisory Bureau) listed facilities located at Wood Farm in Ongar, Essex are second to none, providing a home from home experience for all our guests. We are conveniently located within easy reach from Brentwood, Chelmsford, Bishops Stortford and Harlow.

Our Day Care
Offering day stays for both canine and feline guests, we will happily pamper and care for them whilst you go about your day’s activities. Please speak to a member of our team regarding your requirements.

Day Care starts at £26 per day, including any feeds, walking and care.
Available for early check in from 8am, and late check out until 6pm.

Our Dog Grooming Parlour
We can give your K9 companion a bath or brush before he comes home or why not treat them to a full grooming pamper session. The full grooming service allows us to style them as you would like, also checking nails and anal glands at the same time.

About Us
The Animal Country Club is one of four pet related businesses now located at Wood Farm. The boarding kennels were established in 1982 and quickly followed by the cattery in 1984. All our facilities are of the highest standard and furnished to ensure a comfortable stay. Our onsite team ensure that our 5 star facilities are always maintained and suitable for all guests.
Wood Farm is the home to Andrew and Margaret Gemmill. Once known for arable farming its 70 acres of beautiful Essex countryside now provide the ideal setting for boarding your pet. Margaret Gemmill is a qualified veterinary nurse, our Manager Emma has achieved a C & G National Diploma in Animal Management, National Diploma in Animal Management and C & G Canine Studies. Jess is Assistant Manager and has a variety of pets at home and has grown up with dogs all her life. All staff are dedicated pet owners who care for your pet just as you would.
Being located near to major road and air links makes the Animal Country Club the perfect choice for clients from London and the surrounding areas. London Stansted Airport is only 20 minutes from The Animal Country Club making our boarding and cattery services the right choice when planning your holiday or short break.
Our trained team provide all the care and attention your pets require, ensuring that you have total peace of mind while you are away.
