About Us

Here at Ali’s Ark we are passionate about the welfare and happiness of all the animals in our care and ensure each client receives a tailored service to suit their needs.

I have extensive experience in companion animal husbandry and behaviour through working in a challenging (but rewarding) role at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home and through obtaining a BSc in Animal Management after completing a BTEC Diploma in Animal Management and Business. I am also fully qualified in dog first aid so you can rest assured your dog is in safe hands.

100% satisfaction is of high importance to us and we pride ourselves in providing piece of mind to our clients, therefore enhanced CRB checks are kept and renewed and you can be assured that Ali’s Ark is fully insured and holds public liability insurance with Cliverton Insurance for your piece of mind.

To ensure your pets safety, we use the award winning, custom fitted Lintran travel crates in our air conditioned van (as used by the RSPCA) and ensure that these are disinfected between each collection for both your pets comfort, and to prevent the spread of any infection. These unique cages keep your companions cool in the summer and warm in the winter, and have built in safety escape hatches at the rear. The divider is removable so large breeds will travel in comfort too!

Ali’s Ark is based in Gravesend and is currently serving people within the Gravesend Community and surrounding areas. However we are more than happy to travel to locations all over Kent, there is a small fee of 20p per mile to cover travelling costs. Our Services

Dog Walking – Solo Walks

Ali’s Ark offer solo dog walks for one or more of your dogs. Your dog can be taken to its favourite local park, woodland, lake or countryside walk, within a reasonable distance.

• 100% of my time, care and attention is devoted to your dog, it will benefit from fun, fresh air and good exercise. The dogs are walked on lead, but off lead at your discretion.
• We offer 30 minute or 1 hour walks, but can be longer upon request.
• All 1 hour dog walking slots for weekdays are currently fully booked. Please refer back at a later stage for more info.

Pet Sitting

Have a family occasion/dinner reservation, hospital appointment or taken ill, going away for the weekend and can’t take your pet with you. Ali’s Ark offers professional pet sitting where your pets are looked after in their own homes. This is one of the many benefits of using Ali’s Ark.

• It gives you peace of mind, knowing they are happy, being cared for and stress free. Saves you money on separate boarding kennel fees for (dogs and cats) & the pet’s get some well earned chill time too.
• The animals will be fed, groomed, exercised, fussed and played with. However we are very flexible to your animal’s needs. So please ask.
• We offer hourly, daily, weekend and week pet sitting, but will cater to suit you.

Cat Visit

If you’re going on holiday or attending an engagement why not book Ali’s Ark to pop in & visit your cat/cats. Cats love the comfort of their own home, so what could be better than having Ali taking care of them for you. We can visit up to twice a day usually morning & evening, but this can be tailored to your needs.

• Indoor or outdoor cats? Each visit is tailored to your cat’s needs. Whether you have 1 or 5 cats Ali will make sure they are all well looked after.
• Ali will feed and give your cats fresh water, wash up dirty bowls, empty & refresh litter trays. These are just a few duties, but please tell us if you wish Ali to do anything else.

Most importantly Ali will make sure your cat/cats are happy and healthy at all times. Ali will leave your home clean, tidy & secure for when you return. Please book in advance to ensure you have Ali in place before your holiday/engagement.

Pet Taxi

If you require your dog, cat or small furry to be taken to the vets, groomers or hydrotherapy centre or would like a helping hand to and from an appointment, we can help.

1. We will pick up your dog, cat or small fury from home, take your pet to required location i.e. vets, wait whilst your pet is being taken care off and return them home safely.
2. This is available to pet owners who need help transporting your pet one way i.e. home to vets, or vets to home.
