5 Star Boarding Kennels and Cattery

We have 24 boarding kennels of different sizes and each dog boarding with us has its own kennel with permanent access to its own attached run day and night.  We also provide each kennel with a choice of bed, along with hygenic vet-bed, which is non-irritant and non-allergenic, or blankets and duvets to keep your pet cosy.

All our kennels are internal and we are one of the very few boarding kennels in the country that offers this. This means that your dog keeps cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

We know how important it is for dogs to play, sniff and run around so we exercise the dogs with a daily walk and playtime in our fully enclosed grass paddock. We also spend a lot of time during the day to make a fuss of each dog on a one-to-one basis, so we can ensure they are happy and enjoying their stay.

We hold a range of quality foods and aim to provide a diet as close to your pet’s normal food. However, we can’t hold every food available, so if we do not stock your chosen food you are welcome to supply your own food, but this will have to be at your own expense. Veterinary prescription diets must also be provided by the owners.

Cattery

We provide luxury accommodation for dogs and cats, providing first class care and attention. Set within 3 acres of peaceful countryside around Felsted in Essex, 5 Star boarding Kennels & Cattery provides a real holiday for pets too.

We strive to provide our canine and feline guests with a relaxed and calm atmosphere, designed to minimise stress whilst they are away from home. We spend lots of time with your pets every day, ensuring they are cheerful, happy and relaxed – every guest gets plenty of fuss made of them individually.

Through controlled ventilation and heating programs we ensure that the kennels and cattery maintain the optimum temperature and ventilation levels to avoid any discomfort for your pets.

5 Star Boarding Kennels & Cattery has been established since 2003. The present owners, Kevin & Angela Goodwin and Joan Gale, took over the business in 2007 – keeping 5 Star as a family run business.

Our own passion in showing and breeding dogs, naturally led us to a career in caring for other people’s pets. Being members of the Pet Care Trust and the British Kennel & Cattery Association sets the high standards that we work to. We are fully trained animal first aiders and we have the back-up of our own appointed vet.

Standard £13.00 per cat day

All quoted prices are per day and include food, heating, insurance and VAT.

10% discount for long-term stays of 30 days or more.
