4 Paws Farm is a family run boarding kennels and cattery based in Bishop Auckland serving pet owners in the North East. We provide an exceptional boarding service for dogs, cats and all other furry friends.

The farm itself sits in 34 acres of pasture land with secure perimeter fencing and full security systems. Kelly, Richard and the team have a shared love for animals and a great interest in animal behaviour, sharing over 30 years of experience between them.

Here at 4 Paws Farm Cattery we believe that attention, affection and diet are key to your cat’s health and wellbeing whilst staying with us. Here we like to take care of your pet as if it were our own. We will make the time to play and give your cat the sort of attention they are used to.
As pet owners and animal lovers we will ensure your cat feels very much at home with us. We will offer them a safe and secure environment, as well as a warm and friendly atmosphere.
4 Paws Cattery
Our newly refurbished cattery boasts 15 cosy cat cottages fully fitted with your feline’s wants and needs. All of our individual cat pods are big enough to house up to 4 cats so family groups can remain close.
Our cattery has full central heating with double glazed windows for your cat to take in the views whilst lounging on a heated fleece pad.

Here at 4 Paws we believe that exercise, socialising and diet are key to your dog’s good health and wellbeing whilst staying with us. Your dog will spend most of their day socialising and playing with friends with a large walk in our fields, in the middle of the day. They will be more than happy for a rest of night in their heated kennels.
Life here at 4 Paws Farm is every dog’s dream, we allow them the freedom to run and play in a safe and social environment. The feeding routine here is military and your dog receives their meals on time, just as you instruct, with or without medication they will get the best level of care with all your individual needs catered for. At 4 Paws Farm we believe it is very important for all animals to remain on their own diet throughout their stay to promote good digestive health.
Here at 4 Paws Farm we take your dog into our hearts as well as our home. We understand their needs and are more than happy to give them the extra attention and support needed for them to feel safe and secure at 4 Paws Farm.
During our dog care, we ensure that when your dog isn’t romping around our fields with friends, he or she will be playing in our turnout paddock. We conduct several play sessions in a way to stimulate their minds and keep them mentally stimulated as well as physically. Alternatively they can just relax on a sofa in our doggy day room and keep warm.

Owners are welcome to come and view our facilities. We do ask this is done by appointment so we can allocate a time slot to be able to give you as much information as possible.
We don’t need to meet your pet before bringing them to us, as we do all our introductions on their first couple of days with us to get to know them.
We understand that not all dogs are able to be let off-lead or meet new dogs, which is why on their first day with us we conduct an assessment of recall and social skills.
We have a mountain of experience so please be confident your dogs needs will be catered for.
Some dogs settle much quicker than others and with your permission we can let them have a good stretch and play with other similar natured dogs in one of our fully secured paddocks and fields.

4 Paws Parlour is becoming extremely popular and known for its signature ‘Posh Wash’ which includes a full soapy warm bath, blast dry, under coat de-shed, coat conditioner and ear cleaning.
We offer these pampering services for an unbeatable price:

- Medium dog: £18.00
- Large dog: £24.00
- Giant dog: £30.00
Why not book your dog in for a ‘Posh Wash’ on their last day of his/her stay at 4 Paws Farm?
We also offer services such as nail clipping and coat clipping/trimming.
Standard Accommodation
Our standard Kennels are large enough to house 4 small dogs or 2 large dogs, the raised sleeping area at the rear of the kennels has thermostatically controlled underfloor hearting so the temperature will always be maintained at a comfortable one. All dogs come with their own beds, this helps them feel more at home.
Our New Premier Kennels are twice the size of our standard kennels and offer enough space to accommodate 4 or more dogs, brand new and very well build with 360 insulation and underfloor heating
Doggy Cottages
The Doggy Cottages each have their own sofa, TV and heater. The Doggy Cottages also benefit from having an outside run looking right onto our forecourt and get to see lots of activity during the day. Although there is a sofa we do recommend bringing there own bedding to add to the homely feel. The doggy Cottages are large enough to house 4 Large dogs (from the same family) This accommodation type is extremely popular so we recommend booking early.
Doggy Livingroom
The Doggy Living Room is exactly as its named and built with the idea of making dogs feel more at home than ever, with a wall mounted TV and 2 sofas.

Penthouse
The Penthouse is our biggest and most luxurious accommodation type for dogs.
Benefiting from a wall mounted HD TV, 3 Sofas and thermostatic heater dogs will want for nothing in here.
*The Penthouse can only be booked for 2 or more dogs*
The Pent House is large enough to house 4 Large dogs (from the same family)
This accommodation type is also very popular so booking early is advised
Quality rabbit and guinea pig care
4 Paws Farm can board any of your smaller furry friends in our specially designed small animal house.
Your little critters will be cared for as you wish. If it means 10 minutes in the ball, an hour in the run, a hop around the garden, or out on the lead. Your critter will receive lots of attention from our 16 year old expert at hand to deliver attention around the clock.
