4 Happy Paws Dog Training is run by Julie Smith, who has over 20 years professional experience in dog training. Before founding 4 Happy Paws, Julie worked for one of the UK’s leading assistance dog charities as an Instructor, training dogs to help children and adults with physical disabilities carry out daily tasks, and dealing with any behavioural issues.

Julie also competed at a high level in competitive obedience with her 3 Working Sheepdogs.

Julie only uses kind, reward-based training techniques.

Julie is a Registered Animal Training Instructor with the Animal Behaviour & Training Council.

I live in Clevedon with my partner, young daughter and our 3 dogs.

I have 15 years of experience of training dogs, both professionally and for pleasure. I competed for many years with my 3 working sheepdogs in competitive obedience at which we were very successful. Most recently I worked for one of the UK’s leading assistance dog charities, training dogs to assist children and adults with physical disabilities.
