Dixans

Debbie and Tony have owned Dixans for over 36 years (since 1986), but the site has been a boarding establishment since the early 1960s.

The kennels and cattery are set in spacious countryside surroundings and we have made many changes since we arrived. We have redesigned and rebuilt our facilities over the years with generous, secure and heated pens for both cats and dogs (with our latest new kennel building completed!). We also have several secure grassed exercise areas for all our boarders to enjoy all year round.

Whilst boarding your pet with us, we put an emphasis on them being extremely well cared for, well fed, treated as an individual and given lots of attention. We always look after the boarders in our care as we would like our own to be cared for – because we know how special they are.

We have deliberately stayed a medium-sized establishment so that we are able to maintain our high standard of personal and individual care, tailored to the needs of your pet whilst they stay with us. They might be shy or nervous, need a lot of TLC, special food or just a lot of ball chasing! As we like caring for our boarders personally – this is all very much possible.

Over the years we have enjoyed seeing our boarders go from youngsters to golden oldies and nothing gives us more pleasure than to see them bound down our driveway to greet us.

We have been here for such a long time that we are boarding some of client’s sixth dog! We are even boarding some of our clients own children’s pets too!

We hope to speak to you soon to arrange a visit and discuss the needs of your pet while they board with us. Dogs can be brought along to meet us too!

We are fully licensed by the local authority (HDC license no: AW20) and are inspected regularly. This means we uphold the highest standards of care and security that gives our customers the peace of mind by knowing your pet is a safe and happy environment while you are away.
