With years of experience in looking after pets for family and friends, in 2000 Kim saw a unique opportunity to provide the same level of love and care to the dog owners of Southampton.

Based in Totton with a network of expert carers across Hampshire, Pet Carers offers a hassle and worry free alternative to kennels. Dogs are boarded on a strictly one to one basis in family homes so they can get the same care and attention that they would at home.

As our carers only board one families dog(s) at any one time you can guarantee they won’t be out on dogs walks or looking after other dogs & cats. This ensures your dog will be the centre of attention for their entire holiday with us!

Booking your dream holiday can be time consuming and stressful enough without the added worry of leaving your dog behind. Pet Carers can assist by arranging a pre stay meeting at a time that is convenient for you, this gives you and your dog the chance to meet your carer before confirming your booking which ensures that they will enjoy their holiday as much as you do!

About Us

Kim

Having grown up with a variety of pets including dogs, cats, rabbits and hamsters it was inevitable that I would end up working with animals!
Over 30 years ago whilst living in Hyde Park barracks, London I began dog sitting and walking, often taking care of the officers animals when on duty.

Now based in Totton the doggy family consists of the Dachshunds Dolly, Charlie and Teddy and Lottie who are all kept in check by Guinevere the British short hair cat.

Pet Carers prides itself on its excellent reputation and as such most of our current bookings come from returning customers, word of mouth and recommendations from veterinary practices around Southampton however we always welcome new dogs to one of our dog sitting families so please get in touch!

We always try to book your dog with the same carer for future holidays to build up a relationship.

Our Carers 

Along with setting our own very high standards our carers are licensed (where required) by local authorities under the Animal Welfare Regulations 2018 which are very thorough, this means they are subject to regular checks together with full annual inspections.

Many of my carers have been with me for over 10 years so are very experienced, enjoy what they do and love opening their homes for your dog’s holiday.

I consider all my carers to be friends and as my own dogs are as precious to me as yours are to you I have no carer that I wouldn’t be happy to leave my own dogs with.

Small Breed Doggy Daycare in Totton

Your dog(s) will be kept safe, happy, entertained and cherished while you are at work. They will stay with myself and John in our family home with free run of the house and garden.

We have a lovely bungalow with enclosed garden and plenty of cosy areas for your dog to chill out in or equally join in with our own four dachshunds who are very welcoming to our guests.

There is air conditioning for those hot summer days, central heating for the colder months and lovely sofas to cuddle up on. We offer plenty of enrichment, besides walks, there is the paddling pool and lots of other boredom buster games.
