Welcome

We are located in Tunbridge Wells and our services include dog day care and dog boarding and small animal boarding.

We have over 25 years experience working with animals including studying animal care, welfare and behaviour. We are also trained in pet first aid.

As pet owners ourselves, we care very much about the the welfare of all animals.

We are licensed by Tunbridge Wells Borough Council obtaining the highest 5 star rating and are fully insured therefore offering peace of mind for pet owners. Your pet will be treated as one of  our own. The greatest care will always be taken and your pets’ safety will always be our priority.

Hold my paw is an organisation run by animal lovers.

We are pet owners ourselves and understand how busy lifestyles, work commitments and holidays  can all cause problems for pet owners.

We hope the use of our services will be a solution to these problems and also help improve the quality of your pets life.

If you choose to trust us with your pet, you can rest assured it will be safe and well cared for.

Holiday Boarding

We can look after your dog  for longer periods to cover holidays or perhaps a hospital stay.

Why stress your dog with a stay in kennels when it can come to our home and be part of the family? Our dog boarding is a much kinder alternative.

We can offer daily updates and video calling  so you have peace of mind that your pet is happy and well. 

We never have more than 4 dogs boarding at any one time so they will always get lots of care, attention and fun.

We love dogs

​​​​Our main service for dogs is daycare where your dog can socialise and be part of a pack.We provide a dog daycare service at our home between 8.30am-6pm, priced at £24.

We are flexible with this and if you need to drop your dog off a bit earlier or collect later it is usually fine.

Your dog will be part of the family for the day.

It will get at least 2 walks a day in our local woods, Hargate forest.

We will do our best to keep your dog entertained and happy and hope he or she will go home to you, happy, tired and wanting to come back again soon!

Perhaps you need your dog to stay the night as well?

We can board your dog for the night too and we are licensed to do this by Tunbridge Wells Borough Council.

All dogs sleep within our home. We don’t use cages or outside kennels-only our sofas! 

We charge £28 per night for dog boarding.

Your dogs vaccinations must be up to date and we can only take dogs over the age of 1 year who are spayed or neutered and can be exercised off lead.

Small Animal

Hold my paw is proud to be one of the few organisations in Tunbridge Wells who offer guinea pig boarding. During their stay, guinea pigs will not just be left in a cage but will be exercised regularly and given plenty of fresh hay, vegetables and other treats. As long term piggie owners ourselves, we have learnt how to care for them and are aware of their needs and always take care to monitor their diet and check that they are healthy and happy .We do ask owners to supply the pigs preferred dry food mix/pellets but we provide the rest. We board guinea pigs in our large summerhouse at night and during the winter. It is a luxurious 3m X 3m summerhouse where they can be safe from foxes and other predators . We also have large runs for them to exercise in during the day and nibble on the grass (weather permitting.)

In summer, we grow our own organic vegetables and have a large herb garden so there is always lots of fresh veg for them to munch on.  Cages  will be cleaned regularly and we understand the importance of good hygiene. We usually only have a small number of rodents  boarding at any one time so your pig will get lots of care and attention. They will not just be left in their cages alone.

So please bring us your piggies to look after. They will be safe and happy.

Small animal boarding starts from £7 a day.
