Welcome to Dog Buddy

Dog Buddy offer a unique opportunity to have your pet care needs totally encompassed from dog walking, puppy visits and cat sitting, fitness advice and home visits with a friendly caring approach to looking after your best friend.

We understand how important it is to totally trust the person caring for your pet, and we want you to give your pet to someone that will care and love it as you do. Established 2013 and with over 30 years of experience of owning dogs and a member of the National Association of Registered Pet Sitters and Dog Walkers (NarpsUK). I have been running Dog Buddy for over 6 years, I live in Cramlington with Reggie my 9 year old very friendly Springer Spaniel.

What We Offer

Our dog walking allows your dog’s to exercise safely, eliminate any boring repetition enjoy fantastic walks in social groups. Your dog will socialise and make new friends whilst keeping active, burning off all that excess energy with their friends.

On walks we will take balls, frisbees to add to the fun and different locations for adventure, where dogs are allowed off there leads.

Reliability and your dog’s safety are paramount to us, we will walk in all weather conditions keeping, your dog healthy and happy, the service we offer is professional courteous and tailored to you individually.

How It Works

After our consultation we will contact you with confirmation of your booking (by phone, text or email). Once an agreed slot has been confirmed, next will be the collection of the your

On arrival at your home your dog will be excited that their dog buddy has arrived to play and start there adventure. (We will always remove muddy boots, your keys will always be safely locked away only identifiable by a number system and, they are insured and totally secure)

Your dog will join their friends in our brand new customised van, travelling securely and comfortably to the planned walk.

Dogs will be walked in friendly social groups of no more than 4/5. (Solo walks are available on enquiry).

All locations that have been chosen have been assessed for their safety and fun, offering stimulation to keep your dog socialised an important part of their well-being.

Dogs can be let off their leads only on client’s written consent if we are happy on the dogs recall, this will be discussed as part of the consultation.

Whilst out having lots of FUN we are happy to email, text and blog your dog’s daily adventures or update you when they have returned home?

After your dog’s walk, your dog will be returned to the van dried, and returned home safely.

At home we will replenish fresh water bowls and feed or give treats as discussed in the consultation. Any other requirements please ask, such as dog medication, curtains closed, lights left or TV.

Your dog will rest after an exciting day’s adventure, waiting for you to return home happy and content and eager to see you.

Cat Sitting

Our cat sitting service offers you peace of mind for you and your cats in the comfort of their own home whilst you’re away for one night, or a long holiday.

Your cats will feel more secure in the comfort of their own familiar environment free to explore with familiar smells and surroundings with their usual feeding routines and play, minimising stress and anxiety of a boarding cattery. On each visit we will do all the essentials feed cleaning bowls, change of litter, grooming and the administer of medication if required.

You will receive regular updates and photos, and caring professional service looking after your cats.

Whilst in your home we are happy to collect post, water plants, feed fish, switch lights on/off, close curtains and put the bins out. If we have missed anything please just ask in your home visit or over the phone.

Homeboarding

We have a spacious detached house with large secure garden and lots of space for your dog to feel relaxed, ensuring your dog receives the level of care and attention it deserves as we only board 1 or 2 dogs from the same household. We will accommodate most requests to tailor your dog’s stay and reduce any anxiety whilst you’re away.

We will tailor your dog’s exercise following our discussion prior to the stay. We would walk your dog 3 times a day minimum, with access to woods 5 minutes away. Afternoon social group walks are available, with 24hr secure access to our spacious garden.

We will only accept dogs that are up to date with their vaccinations including worm and flee treatments. I hold a current Canine First Aid certificate and are happy to accept dogs that require regular medication.
