ABOUT ME & HOW I THINK

I’m Anna, the owner of Perfect Pawz! Training & Behaviour Practice – it’s me you’ll see for all aspects of training & behavioural help.  I want to give you the very best possible service – I care that your pet’s issues are resolved, it’s a dedicated and assured level of commitment.

I  create and restore a happy dog – owner relationship in a way that’s fun, relaxed and informal, involving lots of praise, play, pats and fun.

Improving your dog’s behaviour isn’t about bullying, physical domination or using painful devices – those days are long gone, although sadly there’s still plenty of ‘trainers’ using such methods & that’s so sad – who wants to force a dog into submission or ‘make’ a dog comply, I certainly don’t.  For me, nothing is better than watching dogs learn because it’s fun and enjoyable to do so.  We’ve got to learn to listen to and respect our dogs as partners in a relationship & that’s what I’m about. 

Labradors Are My Breed!

We’re a Labrador family through & through & if you’ve got one, then you’re in extra specially good hands – they’re ‘my breed’.  Our dogs are show dogs & we’ve been very lucky to have had some amazing successes at the highest level, treading the green carpet at Crufts several times – I’m very proud of them.

Labrador Retrievers are beautiful dogs but many owners do struggle with their temperament which is sad & I do find it a little frustrating sometimes because Labradors are extremely bouncy & exuberant when young but do so want to please & this can often lead into a battle of wills with their person – you’ve just got to be understanding and patient.
