I am fully insured with Cliverton pet business insurance and I’m DBS police checked. Most importantly, I understand your pet is a loved member of your family.
Southsea Pet Sitting has experience with cats, tortoises, degus, guinea pigs, rabbits, birds, snakes and fish too. I have experience of all ages and breeds of cats and I am Cat First Aid qualified.
This is my full time and only job so I’ll have the time to spend with your pets, including taking them to the vet if needed, administering medication and giving them lots of attention, cuddles and play time.
I am a car owner which is essential in this highly responsible role.
I live with 3 cats; Dobby is 5 years old and Wiggy and Ziggy are hyper 3 year olds. They are high energy, playful Devon Rex cats. My spare time is mostly spent with them as they love to play and go on harness walks in the garden. My cats are indoor with access to a catio. I understand the needs of both outdoor and indoor cats, elderly and young cats.
Rainbow Bridge: Teddy, red tabby devon rex lap cat (5/2006 – 19/11/2021) and Batfink, black smoke devon rex monkey (5/2006 – 31/12/2021).
I have a bit of a menagerie; Taz, a Blue fronted Amazon parrot, a tortoise, chickens and ornamental ducks.
I chose Dobby for my logo as he’s quite a character as you can see!
Cat sitting visits are up to 30 minutes. Each visit is tailored to your cat(s). Your cat may only need one visit a day. Two visits may be preferred if your cat is young, playful or needs extra attention. I do not do every other day visits. This is because elderly cats can go downhill suddenly, urine infection in a male cat is serious and needs to be seen by a vet urgently, lots of other reasons, but cats do need checking daily.
Visits include feeding, changing water, cleaning litter trays and ensure plenty of time to play with and cuddle your cat. I will also give medication if required.
I will collect your post, turn lights on or off and open close curtains on request.
