Neighbourhood Pet Care was established in Huddersfield in 2010. We will cover the Colne Valley and surrounding area.
Rebecca Friedl-Hirst, the founder of Neighbourhood Pet Care has a bachelors degree in Animal Management with experiences ranging from living on a farm, working for vet surgeries, animal charities,hair dressing, NHS domestic services and elderly care work. She recently offered free services aswell as food delivery to those affected by Coronavirus pandemic isolation.
We are currently a team of 12, with each person working across their own specific areas, preferred animals and personal experiances aswell as fitting in other part time jobs. We all work together covering each others holidays and sickness so no customer of Neighbourhood Pet Care is ever let down.
Whether your going on holiday, working, too busy or due to ill health Neighbourhood Pet Care offers a fantastic service for individual and pack dog walking and sitting all types of pets in the comfort of your own home.
An initial free consultation in your home is essential to gain all the necessary information for us to provide the best care possible to you and your pets.
Whatever your situation the Neighbourhood Pet Care team of specially selected professionals will cover each others holidays and sickness, making us a unique local company able to offer a confidential service that is reliable, flexible and available every day of year!!
Dog Walking

This visit will include:
- A group or individual walk or other arranged form of exercise specific to your dogs requirements.
- The walk can include any local woods, parks, fields, roads etc making the outing as enjoyable, safe and stimulating as possible.Â
- We can feed your dog and any dietary requirements will be followed. Bowls cleaned after and fresh water provided.
- General grooming and towel drying after walks can be carried out.
- Medication can be given by veterinary approval.
- Strokes, handling, playing and any breed specific stimulation such as sniff searching and swimming.
- All dogs can be given basic training and socialisation whilst in our care if you wish.
All materials and apparatus will need to be provided by yourself to ensure consistency and comfort for your pet.
Whilst you are away we can close curtains, turn lights on and off, collect mail, water plants, empty rubbish, bring in milk and make sure your home is secure for your peace of mind.
