About me

WHAT I DO

I love animals and have dedicated my life to caring for them. You will have peace of mind that your pets being cared for by Happy Hoppers are treated and looked after like they are my own. I offer reliable and trustworthy pet boarding for guinea pigs, rodents, reptiles and vaccinated rabbits on site in our purpose built boarding area.  This has a secure, all weather, easily cleaned, exercise area and large 8ft hutches. I also provide indoor boarding for those usually housed inside and facilities for rodents and reptiles. I am proud to offer a stress free, home from home environment where your pets are safe, well cared for and any usual routines can be kept to.

WHY CHOOSE HAPPY HOPPERS?

You may ask why is a professional like myself is essential for small animal boarding care like rabbits and rodents? This is because they have many different and complex needs compared to other animals. They rely a lot more on things like constant temperatures, regular food supplies and can get themselves into mishaps very easily.
By using a boarding facility you can guarantee your pet will receive round the clock care. By choosing Happy Hoppers you are ensuring that care is provided by a Registered Veterinary Nurse. I am highly trained with exotic pets, I have a diploma in rabbit welfare and behaviour, a certificate in small animal first Aid and a diploma in pet sitting services. I have been a veterinary nurse for 14 years and can offer the added security that I can spot any illnesses, problems or stresses that can occur to your pets and even deal with them on sight immediately.
We are proud supporters of the RWAF and use there advice and guidance to improve care for rabbits

WHO I AM

Based in Redditch I have 15 years experience as a Veterinary Nurse I know how stressful it can be getting your small animals to a vets for simple things like nail clips or grooming. I can help out at a time that suits you either in your own home or onsite with us.
I have many pets of my own including 5 cats and 16 rabbits!!
I grew up around animals including my own horses and it was clear from a young age I would turn my passion into my career.
I trained as a Vet Nurse as well as completing a Bsc Hons Degree in Vet Nurse Science at Hartpury College. I worked for 4 years in a veterinary hospital before moving to the midlands and working at Willows Referral Centre. In the 7 years I was there I learnt a lot from specialist vets, was able to practice different types of nursing and was very lucky to expand my skills. During my maternity leave I researched lots of different jobs involving my love of animals and studied for my diplomas in pet sitting, rabbit welfare and behaviour and pet first aid.
I worked at Amicus Vets for a short while and it reignited my interest and love for exotics. I now work from home for a triage vet service giving pet health advice over the phone, this gave me the time and the flexibility to be able to offer my services to you and your pets where I can use my passion and experience to care for those who need it.
