D&G Luxurious V.I.Pet Hotel

Our Story

Hey everyone, so for a long time you have all been asking ‘why we opened D&G VIPet Hotel?’ or ‘how did we come up with the idea of opening a pet hotel?’ well for the first time officially we are going to tell you what actually is ‘Our Story’.  

So, first – ‘Who is the face behind the Hotel?’ 

Well, most of you know me by now and for those who do not, my name is Roisin Devine-Gallagher, hence the D&G. I have a long history of 12+ years as a Domiciliary Senior Carer and I also have experience of a Care Coordinator Manager and managing a team of 50+ carers. Most of my working career has been caring for others – which I have now adapted to the animal world every day when caring for your loving pets.

So now you know who I am & a little bit about my working background – now, what made me open the Pet Hotel?  

Well in 2017 I got married to my wonderful wife Arlene in Portugal – such an amazing place to get  married btw, totally recommend – so we needed somewhere for our super spoilt pup Charlie-Rose to stay while we travelled over for a month to Portugal, stopping in France and Spain, but unfortunately we couldn’t find anywhere we felt comfortable leaving her, normally she would have stayed with family or friends but with it being our wedding, they were all in Portugal with us, so we decided to make the decision to travel to Portugal by boat, taking our car over and of course our baby, Charlie-Rose – we couldn’t see any better option than to have her with us so we didn’t have to worry about her and as a bonus she was an amazing part of our special day,  which made our trip even more spectacular.

So, with not being able to find somewhere for a pampered pooch like Charlie-Rose to stay, we decided we would create one, therefore nobody would ever have to worry about leaving their pets again when travelling or even when going to work.  

We wanted to create a safe place for all our amazing clients whilst giving their parents the reassurance of their safety and happiness – which I sincerely hope we have been able to do with D&G Luxurious VIPet Hotel. 

We have never felt a love like the love we have for all your pets, our home is their home, we hope you all know that to.
