About us

Glenbield Kennels are situated in the Borders countryside next to Glentress Forest and accessible to Edinburgh and local areas. We are off the beaten track which means the only consistent nearby traffic is made up of deer and pheasants.

The kennels are purpose built and heated. Each individual pen consists of an indoor and outdoor area. All dogs are brought indoors and shutters are closed at bedtime and during cold weather. We have bigger pens available for larger breeds or multiple dogs from the same family.

All dogs are walked in the secure woodland walk areas (one 4-acre and one 2-acre), three times per day. These areas are surrounded by six foot high fences which means that we are able to walk the dogs off the lead which gives the dogs a chance to run and play.

What to bring

The only essential thing to bring with your dog is an up-to-date record of vaccinations including Kennel Cough. We are able to provide bedding, food, bowls etc but you are also welcome to bring your own.
