Kelsion Boarding Kennels

It is now run by Kelly and Shaun Clark with the help of their two children Nichola and Mathew under the name Kelsion boarding kennels.

Kelly has worked with animals all her life, including working as part of Battersea dogs home and head groom at the veteran horse society caring for sick horses. Both Kelly and Nichola continue to show Chinese crested dogs and Kelly has also been invited to judge some local dog shows including Cardigan agricultural show.

Our Pen y parc based kennelling facility is specially designed to give your dogs a comfortable environment and the safety and security you would expect from a professional boarding kennel. We are a small family run kennels, so we’re able to give each of our borders that special care and individual attention that they deserve. We know each of our residents by name and by the end of their stay with us we know their character and personality as well.

No matter when you choose to take your holidays or have to take some time away from home, you need to be able to relax without worrying about the care and safety of your dog. Our team at kelsion kennels are experienced and well trained to care for your dogs and cats in your absence. We take great pride in being one of the best boarding facilities in the area, each member of our staff has been chosen for their love of animals, a sincere desire to care for our borders and to ensure their comfort and safety whilst staying with us. We have constant supervision of our kennels and your pet will be well taken care of.

When you’re going away for a while, use the opportunity to send your pet on a vacation of their own. We are located at Penparc, near Cardigan in a rural setting aside fields. This is a quiet area, without the usual distractions of everyday life and noises, for your pet to relax and enjoy their stay with us. We don’t have any minimum or maximum stays, so if junior needs an overnight room, we’re happy to provide it. If you’re going to be away for an extended period of time, well we can cover that too.

It is important for any boarding kennelling facility to be able to handle any unexpected events that may face us from time to time. At Kelsion kennels our kennelling staff are qualified in Animal Care and maintain an on-going education programme to ensure that we remain up to date with all current events and facilities. We have 24 hr. on-call access to veterinary facilities situated locally, so if any of our boarders need medical assistance they get it – promptly! As a family-run business, we live on the site, so there is a 24-hour attendance on-site throughout the year (in the event that we are away at any time, then our senior kennelling staff live on-site to provide continuous cover).

All staff are fully experienced with looking after diabetic and epileptic animals. We do not take risks with the health of our boarders, we seek the very best of veterinary attention whenever the need arises – for which we request your permission on checking in your pet. We have a great deal of experience and can often help, advise and reassure you about your friends accommodation.

We require that all of our boarders must be fully vaccinated, with their vaccinations up to date – including Kennel Cough vaccination. This is for the comfort and safety of all our boarders, where a risk of cross-infection may exist. We need to see each animals vaccination record, or other veterinary certificate of inoculation, at the time of checking in. For the benefit of all of our guests, we will not check in a pet that does not have this information to hand. We will be pleased to help or advise for those who need to have their pet inoculated or to bring their inoculations up to date.

As well as our excellent boarding facility, we are the leading accommodation kennels for Animal Rescue Cymru and also Ukgsr.
