Next, they are thoroughly bathed twice in coat specific shampoo, and some breeds are also treated with conditioner. They are then brushed and dried according to their coat type. I will then clip, scissor, or de-shed your dog according to its needs.
And finally, I trim their nails, clean their ears, and give them a spritz of cologne.

Next, I begin hand stripping the outer guard hairs from the coat. This does not hurt, as the coat has already ‘blown’ (or has already detached from the root follicle) and is ready to be plucked out, ready for the new hairs to grow through. When the hand-strip is complete, they are bathed in a sensitive shampoo and gently dried.
Finally, I trim their nails, clean their ears, and give them a spritz of cologne.

After this groom, your dog will be ready to move on to full grooms.
