Coat King Groomers

Welcome To Coat King Groomers

At Coat King Groomers, your beloved dog is my number one priority. My ethos is that every dog will be treated with the same love, passion, care and respect that I bestow on my beloved Welsh Collie, Jett.

The spacious, bright  studio has been designed with safety and hygiene at its forefront, offering state of the art grooming tools and equipment. As a dedicated 1:1 dog grooming service, your dog will benefit from a relaxed and calming atmosphere to allow them to have the best grooming experience possible, with facilities for “natural” breaks and home-made organic doggie biscuits offered at the end of the groom as a treat, (subject to client approval).

Only the best shampoos and conditioners are used which are all natural and kind to your dog’s skin and coat, ranging from puppy shampoo all the way through to medicated shampoo for those dogs that require some additional tender loving care for their coats.

As a professionally trained, fully insured groomer, who is Canine First Aid qualified and a member of the Pet Industry Federation, I recognise that your dog is part of the family and that regular grooming is essential for your dog’s health and well-being. I look forward to welcoming you and your beloved dog to Coat King Groomers.

Dog Grooming Styles

There are a number of different types of styles which can be selected for your dog.  This will be discussed and decided when you have your first full consultation at Coat King Groomers.  That of course doesn’t mean this is the only style that will ever be done on your dog. If you decide on a different style in the future, and as long as that is suitable for the breed type, the style can be changed to suit your requirements.

The style you choose will depend on a few factors:

  • How often your dog is professionally groomed
  • How much time you can dedicate to brushing your dog at home between appointments
  • The trim for a town dog will be different for a working or country dog

Before making your decision on the style you would like for your dog, please visit the section on “matted coats” and the recommendations as set out by the Pet Industry Federation. Further costs may be incurred if the coat is very matted or the temperament of the dog requires extra time. The length of time between appointments will vary depending on breed and coat type. Recommendation would be for an appointment anywhere between 6 to 12 weeks.
