Southwinds Cattery

Southwinds Cattery was established in 1985. We have 51 individual chalets which have been designed for warmth, comfort and security of the cats in our care. Each cat has its own individual chalet with a covered outside run. The runs are divided with solid sneeze barriers to minimise the spread of germs and contact between cats. Sleeping compartments all have their own thermostatically controlled heater , which all our guests seem to approve of. The cattery grounds are covered by CCTV for your peace of mind.

Every chalet has bedding, toys and a scratch post to make your cats stay as comfortable as possible but you are welcome to bring a favourite blanket or toy from home to help your cat settle.

• For the wellbeing of all boarders, cats must be fully immunised against Cat Flu and Feline Enteritis as a minimum requirement, homeopathic vaccinations are NOT acceptable under our Licence conditions
• A cat’s first course of vaccinations me be completed not less than two weeks before they come to stay
• An up to date vaccination certificate must be shown at time of admittance. We are unable to admit a cat that is brough to us without a vaccination certificate. If you are unable to locate it please request that your vet emails us proof of vaccination before your cat is due to stay with us
• No cat suffering from or suspected to be suffering from any infections or contagious disease will be accepted. The proprietor reserves the right to refuse admission to any cat showing signs of ill health.
• All cats must be treated against fleas and worms before entering the cattery
• In the event of illness or suspected illness you give us consent to consult a Veterinary Surgeon and any treatment considered advisable will be undertaken at your expense. You also give consent to your nominated veterinarian to share medical information about your cat with Southwinds Cattery.
