‘Muddy Paws Bexhill’ is a 5 star Dog Home Boarding and Day Care service provided by Jan and Bill who have over 60 years combined experience of dogs and their needs. Proprietor Jan is a qualified advanced 1st aider for pets, a Reiki Master, is studying canine psychology and for the past 11 years has been a volunteer for the ‘Cinnamon Trust’ animal charity.
We are located in the Little Common area of Bexhill, conveniently adjacent to Broad Oak Park and Little Common Recreation Ground, and offer a ‘home-from-home’ environment for up to three small/medium sized dogs who will stay with us and our resident dog as part of our family for fun, games, loves and cuddles. In addition to having full access to our large garden (which has an agility course), dogs that are with us for overnight boarding will be exercised either on their own or with one other dog: n.b. a handler will walk a maximum of two dogs to ensure that proper control is maintained. Walk duration will be appropriate to the age and health of the dog, and/or in accordance with the wishes of the owner. Dogs on full day care will also be exercised during their stay. Alternative means of stimulation will be provided where dogs cannot be walked due to physical/medical conditions.
Whilst your dog is with us we will update you by text with your dog’s progress.
In order to comply with our Licence and Insurance conditions all dogs that stay with us must be at least 12 months old, have been neutered/spayed, and be up-to-date with their vaccinations, worming and flea treatments and treatment against kennel cough. We are required to keep full records of this information. We are happy to continue the administration of medication, as necessary, for non-infectious conditions.
To ensure as best possible that your dog’s stay with us will be happy and safe, you will be invited to complete a three-stage acquaintance/acceptance process. Initially you and your pet will have been invited to meet us on neutral ground to ensure a satisfactory interaction with our own pet. Following this you will have been invited into our garden and house to ensure that a satisfactory interaction continues and for you to complete our registration form. Finally, we will arrange for your dog to spend a complementary period with us to ensure that no issues arise from ‘owner separation’.
All dogs must be fully house trained (day and night), non-aggressive and sociable with other dogs and humans.
