Vetsmiths

Why Vetsmiths?

Being a vet is an age old craft and one that we wanted to celebrate, with a professional modern edge.

Being a vet isn’t just about the animals, it’s about you, the owners too.

That’s why we set up Vetsmiths and why we’re independent.  It’s the only way we can meet the inevitably high standards you expect of us.

A small animal vets with a team of the most caring, enthusiastic individuals you will ever meet… and we’re right here on your doorstep in the centre of Wimborne.

You and your pets come first

We’re here to do our very best in helping you, give your pets the happiest and healthiest life they can lead.

We will always treat them like a member of our own family, with all round best advice tailored to your individual needs.

We respect our clients and your views (after all, you know your pets better than anyone) and will always go out of our way to ensure you are 100% happy with the service you receive from us.

Microchipping

The best chance of finding your pet

Unfortunately, sometimes our pets decide to go walk-about and this can cause a great deal of stress and anxiety.

Having your pets microchipped (including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and tortoises) is by far the best way to ensure you are reunited as quickly as possible.

We insert a tiny chip (about the size of a grain of rice) using a needle – it’s quick, easy and painless. It contains a unique code that matches your pet’s details and is registered on a national database.

All vets, rescue centres, dog wardens and any other organisation which is likely to encounter stray animals are able to use a universal microchip scanner to identify the animal and the owner.  Getting your lost pet back home safe and sound as quickly as possible.
