Furness Animal Boarding

Be the first to review

We offer a home boarding service for your small pets giving you peace of mind while you are away.

We do home visits within the local area, fully insured and have a DBS in place to reassure you of our trustworthy business.

We also offer a pick up drop off service for your pets at an extra cost.

If you can not see your pet mentioned please get in touch and we will discuss a potential care service for them.

We accept all pet behaviours, no pet is too naughty, as long as this is mentioned on booking. This just helps us provide the best possible care and reduce unnecessary stress.

We have big plans for the future to expand the business into a whole variety of animal related work.

All rabbits must be vaccinated and proof is required to help prevent the spread of disease.

We also aim to provide educational social media posts to help educate on the best pet care.

The Founder

I was born in Manchester and moved up to Barrow several years ago. I wanted to take on further education which led me to Kendal College for Animal Care and Animal Management. I recommend this course to everyone I meet who are animal passionate. You do a lot of practical work within the rescue centre for wildlife and resident animals, it is the most incredible experience. From there I was always actively seeking work in the animal world. I have worked in pet shops, zoo’s, rescue centres, rescue and rehabilitation and have owned recue pets myself. Animals are my passion, and the natural world has always fascinated me.

I decided to set up this business because it has always been my dream to work with animals, so why not try my own set up. I am starting with small pet sitting but my plans expand into so much more. I want to work in conservation, rescue and rehabilitation as well as educating on the welfare of animals. I am so excited to give it ago and hopefully succeed in my plans going forward.

I also have a great love for photography and occasionally do mini photoshoots for pets or rescue centres to help them raise much needed funds. I aim to continue to offer photo shoots when I can because it brings me so much joy.

I have attached some photos from some of my animal experiences in hopes my passion for what I do can be seen. They include behind the scene photo shoots, rescue centre work, vet practise work, rescue pets and even day trips.
