Paws Aplenty Pet Care

Be the first to review

Hi my name is Katie Wardell and I am the owner of Paws Aplenty Pet Care.

I started my own Pet Care business as I adore and have always wanted to work with animals. After a complete career change from 16 years in Horticulture (happy to help with gardening queries too), I decided that I was going to follow my dream and passion, so here we are today! My personal hobbies are walking, eating out and theme parks. I am a bit of an adrenaline junkie!

I own a Springer Spaniel called Millie along with two Tortoises called Herbie and Turbo. My partner Jonathan and myself spend a lot of time walking Millie, and also cover a lot of walking miles with other fur babies. We walk in all weathers come rain or shine, muddy paws do not phase us! I love all animals like my own, so can guarantee that your fur babies will receive plenty of cuddles and fuss.

I am a trained pet first aider and am also qualified in animal welfare, canine behaviour and dog walking/pet sitting. Please feel free to ask on my visits to see my certificates. Paws Aplenty Pet Care is also fully licenced and DBS checked. It is important to leave your loved pets with someone you can trust.

GROUP DOG WALKS

Group dog walks will consist of no more than 4 dogs at any one time. There is an option to use a secure field for the 1 hour dog walk where your dog can have some fun, run around and be free off the lead, and you know they are secure. This will be at an additional cost. I always pick an area away from a main busy road for my dog walks.

If your dog does not have good recall then I will keep them on the lead. This service is great for socialising your dog and I will always make sure my group walks are thought about in regards to age and nature of your dog. All dogs must be friendly if they are not I would suggest having a solo walk. In the poorer weather conditions I will ensure your dog is towel dried off before letting them back into your home. The secure field is also based on where you are located.

The first week or two may be a solo walk with me so I get to know your dog and your dog gets to trust me then we will introduce them into a group walk.

Group walks will be 1 hour.

SOLO DOG WALKS

If your beloved dog is not able to walk in a group or you would prefer them to have a one-to-one solo walk then this service will be suited better for them as plenty of fuss is given to your dog and this will entail a local 1 hour walk on the lead. I can book a secure field if your dog is not good with dogs or has poor recall at an additional £11 this will enable them to run off the lead and have some fun.

In the poorer weather I will ensure your dog is towel dried off before letting them into your home.

PUPPY WALKS

This service is for young dogs from 12 weeks to 1 year old.

30 mins (Must be fully vaccinated and will depend on the age of your puppy).

Each walk with your puppy will be on the lead and will gently welcome them into the big wide world. If your puppy is young then this will be a 15 minute lead walk and 15 minute play time and toilet break in the garden.

SENIOR DOG WALKS

Even our older more senior dogs still enjoy a walk, this will be on the lead and in the local area.

This will be a nice slow and steady walk at your dog’s pace. If we feel 30 minutes is too long we can adapt the walk and visit so we spend some time at home with your dog.

HOME VISITS

Dog home visits are 30 minutes or 1 hour. This includes toilet break, play in the garden, cuddles and fuss.

On a home visit we can do whatever is needed and tailor each visit to your dog’s needs. This can be anything from feeding, to replenishing the water bowl, playtime, cuddles and of course encouraging them to do their business. In the poorer weather conditions I will ensure your dog’s paws are towel dried so your home will be kept clean and tidy and also your dog will be nice and warm. If the weather is poor then I will ensure your dog has been in the garden to do his/her business and we can then spend some play time indoors.

Cat home visits are 30 minutes. This includes feeding, cleaning your cat’s litter tray, play time, cuddles and fuss (if your cat likes cuddles and fuss of course).

Small pet visits are 30 minutes. This can includes feeding, cleaning cages and hutches, checking they have water, play time and cuddles. Please note the price may vary if you have more than one animal and depending on what your requirements are.

Small animals include all rodents, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds and I can even look after your fish too.
