Bringing you positive dog training in the comfort of your home.
Teaching puppy classes from my indoor training studio in Kinson.
I have always remembered loving dogs. They are so filled with love and optimism – every day is a dog’s best day! I offer services across the Bournemouth & Poole area, with a training studio in Kinson for group classes.
As a member of some of the leading dog training institutions, I am continually developing my knowledge as a professional. I believe passionately in using positive training methods, backed by science, without any pain, fear or punishment. I have completed my Puppy, Canine Body Language and Reactivity Specialisms – to name a few!
I am also a fully qualified teacher, with a masters in education, and taught primary age children for five years (from 4 year olds to 11 year olds!). My experience of teaching and learning means I am able to deliver dog training in a way that is easy to understand and simple to follow for the whole family.
If your dog is displaying unwanted behaviours or has developed habits that you’d like to crack, then a training session may be for you. I am a member of some of the best dog training institutions in the UK so I am continually developing my knowledge as a professional. I believe passionately in using positive training methods, backed by science, without any pain, fear or punishment.
Whether your dog is exhibiting reactivity, separation anxiety, lack of recall or anything between, I’m here to help. We will work together to teach strategies and routines to help your dog learn a different way to behave.
I employ purely positive training methods, where dogs learn through praise. My methods focus on teaching the dog what to do and rewarding them for good choices, rather than punishing them for making a wrong choice.
All training sessions include a detailed follow up email, which will cover your next steps with your dog, meaning you can refer back as many times as you need to.
Adopting a puppy can be overwhelming. Whether you are bringing home a puppy in the coming weeks, already have your puppy or are in the researching stage, I am here to help.
If you have already chosen your puppy, we can cover: building a bond, settling in and the decompression period, socialisation and habituation, managing puppy biting, handling your puppy (including grooming), toilet training, crate training, preventing separation anxiety, managing destructive behaviour, diet and feeding, exercise, sleep, introducing basic commands and whatever else you need.
If you have not yet chosen a breeder, we can talk through how to find a responsible breeder, which breed is right for you and how to pick the best puppy for your family.
Sometimes, a training session in person is not necessary. Online consultations are perfect if you are coming up against road blocks in between 1-2-1 sessions and looking for guidance on how to stay on track. They are also useful if you have previously had training with me and are looking to ‘top up’ your dog’s learning and keep them in good habits.
These sessions are also recommended if you have questions about your dog’s behaviour in general; for example, you might want professional advice on enrichment, in which case it is often not necessary for us to meet in person.
