Hello and Welcome to Shaman’s K9 Services

My name is Lindsey and I am based in Telford, working throughout Shropshire and surrounding counties offering an intuitive way to train your dog. I am experienced, qualified and work as a professional trainer for other organisations, so you can rest assured your dog will be in great hands.

My revolutionary service began over 20 years ago when I was just a teenager working as a kennel maid within certain forces. It soon became abundantly clear that I was able to read and understand even the most complicated of dogs with an ease that was noted as “special”.

This led to me choosing to work with those dogs that showed fear based behaviours and reactivity as a speciality that has grown throughout the years and generations of dog training and behaviour, adapting and continuing to learn as I go.

Alongside the training and behaviour work I offer both professionally and privately I have, for 16 years, run a very successful Rehabilitation Dog Rescue taking on the non rehomeable dogs with bite histories and fear based aggression behaviours, and I know the differences between frustration and actual aggression and how to work with each dog as an individual.

I not only understand, but have first hand knowledge of walking the dog at silly times of night, darting behind cars or up driveways to avoid other people and their well behaved dogs, and certainly the favourite, hold on with two hands, lean back and for everyone’s sake don’t fall over style of walking your pet dog! I get it. I live with it every day, and I work with it every day. I don’t judge you because I understand you, and I want to help you!

Please, do not feel ashamed. I can almost guarantee you it’s not something you have “done wrong”. Reactivity can be bought on by many, many different factors. Fill out my free telephone consultation form and I’ll have a chat with you and we can work on a plan together. Nothing is unworkable.

Dog Training & Behaviour

One to One Sessions:
Ted here is a very new to his home rescue dog.
Ted is super strong on the lead, reactive to dogs on walks, and needed help to settle properly as he was constantly pacing. Ted is working really hard and we’re seeing fantastic progress from him.

Classes:
Nancy, pictured, has graduated from Puppy Class to Advance Puppy Class, and next she moves on to Adolesence Class!
When she gets a  bit older, I’m sure she’ll want to come to adult classes too.
I cater to all dogs, regardless of age and needs!

Courses:
Courses are available that aswell as being specific to your dog’s needs, are also just for fun or competition based, so if you want to take your training further, have a look at what’s available right now!
We have Confidence Building Courses, Scent Detecion with a City & Guilds Qualified Seacrch Handler and Instructor, and look at the Spotlight Workshops Available for Gun Dogs, Hoopers and much, much more!
