Charli's Pet Angels

Be the first to review
Established in 2016, Charli’s Pet Angels is based in Leighton in Crewe, Cheshire and is run by me  – Charli, with a little help from my family during busy times (particularly my fiancé Mark).

We wholeheartedly understand that your pets are cherished  members of your family, and that finding someone you trust to look after them when you can’t can seem a daunting task. That’s why we’re here to help: Your animal’s care and well-being is our utmost priority and you can rest assured when choosing our services that your pets will be safe, well looked after and thoroughly adored as if they were our own.

We are fully insured and DBS checked for your peace of mind. In addition, I am trained in Emergency Canine First Aid and certified in Canine Body Language (via The Dog Training College). I regularly participate in training webinars and other courses to keep my knowledge of the pet care industry up to date (read my blog for insights into your dog’s behaviour and body language, in addition to other posts you may find interesting)

About Me (Charli)

I have always had a special affinity with animals and am fascinated by their behaviour. Having been around cats and dogs for as long as I can remember, and growing up with regular visits to my Nan and Grandad’s farm (where I enjoyed helping with the chickens and calves), I would definitely call myself a true animal lover.  In fact I’d go as far as to say I fall in love with every single animal I meet!

After a successful but ultimately unfulfilling office based career (spanning 12 years), I decided it was time to throw caution to the wind, listen to my inner crazy cat/dog lady and follow my dreams – hence Charli’s Pet Angels was born.  Initially I provided my cat sitting and dog walking services part time alongside my position as an Executive Assistant. I made the jump to full time ‘Pet Angel’ within 10 months and haven’t looked back since.

I adore being a Pet Sitter and a Dog Walker and honestly couldn’t imagine doing anything else now. Nothing beats exploring the beautiful Cheshire countryside with my client’s dogs and watching their happy faces as they scamper about (no matter what the weather!). Getting to meet and care for so many amazing animals (including cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, and exotic pets such as an African Clawed Frog and a Rankins Dragon) really is a privilege and a dream come true.
About our Pets

We are owned by our rescue dog – Lola the Labsky (Labrador cross Husky), and are devoted slaves to three cats – Fry (pictured above), a red Exotic Persian, and Shakira and little Bear who are both black short-haired rescue kitties. Fry is the one in charge but they all have us wrapped around their little paws! And we wouldn’t have it any other way. Bear is the latest to join the gang and keeps us entertained with his mischievous antics.
Cat Sitting
Planning a holiday? Why not let your cats stay home in the comfort and security of their own familiar surroundings where they will be happiest.

We will pop in and visit them to provide the dedicated care, love and attention they need – including feeding, providing fresh water, administering medication if needed, cleaning litter trays, brushing, playing and cuddling etc.. We will send you regular updates so you can relax and enjoy your break.

Our cat sitting service is a popular and cost effective alternative to a stay in a cattery, which some cats find distressing. It also gives you added peace of mind that your home is being looked after. We are happy to water plants, put bins out and open and close curtains/blinds – just let us know what you need. For an additional charge, we can even ensure you have essentials such as fresh milk and bread for your return.

We recommend at least 1 x standard visit per day for cats. The majority of customers opt for 2 x visits per day (for example, morning and evening).
Express visit (15 mins, Leighton only): £6.
Standard visit (30 mins): £10.

Prices are based on the length of the visit rather than the number of cats you have.
Pet Sitting
Our pop in pet sitting visits aren’t just limited to cats. They are also an ideal solution for other small pets such as rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters.

Although we are not specialists in exotic pet care we do have experience caring for lizards, frogs, tropical fish and birds. We are more than happy to look after any type of pet and take detailed instructions from yourselves at our initial meeting.

Pop in’s are also perfect for kittens, puppies, elderly or infirm pets, and pets recovering from operations. If you need to work long hours, or are planning a day trip or evening out, we can visit to check on them, let your pooch out for a toilet break, feed if necessary and provide some social interaction, cuddles and playtime to break up the time you are away from them.

Puppy Visits – If you have a new puppy and work long hours we suggest 2-3 x visits per day as puppies need more frequent meals and toilet breaks than adult dogs. Once your puppy has been fully vaccinated we can go for short walks and begin socialising it with other dogs.

Express visit (15 mins, Leighton only): £6.
Standard visit (30 mins): £10.

Prices are based on the length of the visit rather than the number of pets you have.
Dog Walking
Our dog walking service is available from Monday to Friday, primarily between 10:00am and 3:00pm.

We mainly offer individual walks which are ideal for dogs who prefer to be walked alone. However, if your dog does enjoy the company of other dogs, we may pair them up with a suitable canine walking buddy or two. The maximum number of dogs we walk together in a group is four.

Walks take place in a variety of locations to ensure a fun and stimulating experience for your dog. One day we might practice lead walking by doing a pavement walk from your house to a local park for a game of fetch. The next day we might go out in the car to explore the Cheshire countryside and enjoy some off lead play and socialisation.

Your dog will only be let off lead (with your written consent) once we have gotten to know them/are confident in their recall.

30 minute walk: £10.
45 minute walk: £12.50.
60 minute walk: £15.

Additional dogs from the same household (who can be walked together) are half price.

GENERAL INFORMATION
All bookings are subject to an initial ‘meet and greet’ session (free of charge). The purpose of this is to allow us to get to know your pet and discuss their specific requirements, personalities, any medical history that we may need to be aware of, normal routines and feeding instructions etc.. We will also sort out key arrangements (our preferred option is to hold a spare key in our secure safe) and complete paperwork (service agreement, terms and conditions, client and pet information forms, including vet and emergency contact details).
A short trial walk is also included for dog clients. Particularly nervous or anxious dogs may require more than one familiarisation session and we are happy to accommodate this. This is also your opportunity to get to know us and ask any additional questions.
  • A 25% non-refundable booking fee is required to confirm cat/pet sitting bookings at peak holiday times.
  • A cancellation policy applies and this will be explained at the initial meeting.
  • Walks and visits on bank holidays are charged at time and a half (except for Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day which are charged at double time).
  • Regular text/photo/video updates will be arranged for all services (no additional charge). These are usually provided via Whatsapp or Messenger.
