Wirral Paws and Claws

Hi, I’m Elaine and I run a small dog walking and pet sitting business based in Pensby.  I provide a caring, reliable and experienced service for all your lovely pets.  I can do pop-in visits for holiday cover and evening visits are also available if you want to go out but don’t want to leave your pet on their own.

Your pet’s wellbeing while you are away is my priority.

About

Welcome. My name is Elaine and I have lived with animals my entire life.  I could not imagine spending a day without furry company.

I have spent the last twenty-five years in IT and when it was time for a change I knew that change absolutely had to involve working with animals.

I have been cat sitting for my friends when they are away for years so it seemed the most natural thing to start a business doing it.  I also adore dogs and love making new canine pals.

My own menagerie includes a large number of rescue cats, Giant African land snails and exotic isopods.

For your peace of mind I am fully insured and DBS checked.  I take the responsibility of caring for other people’s pets very seriously and always work hard to ensure their safety and happiness.

The main areas of Wirral covered includes: Pensby, Heswall, Irby, Thingwall, Gayton, Barnston and Caldy..

Please note that due to the increase in the cost of petrol I have been forced to increase my prices for clients outside those areas.

I am a member of NARPS UK, the National Association of Pet Sitters and Dog Walkers.

All data held is in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations 2018.

Dogs

We all know that dogs love exercise (probably a lot more than we do!) but there isn’t always time in the day to give them what they need.  Life, work and even illness can conspire against us and our furry best friends.

I offer a range of services for your dog.  Ring the number above for more information.

Dog walking

£10 for 30 minutes   –   within two miles from Pensby, includes Irby, Heswall, Thingwall, Barnston
£15 for 1 hour

£15 for 30 minutes   –   further than two miles from Pensby

£20 for 1 hour

Let me take the strain and help your dog get the exercise they need.  You can book a 30 minute walk, an hour, or whatever time you prefer.  The time begins the moment your dog is collected so you will get the whole time booked.
We try to be as flexible as possible with our Dog Walking service, no matter whether you need a dog walker for a regular walk, daily walk or on an ad hoc basis.

Daily walks and locations are varied to ensure fun and rewarding walks. Importantly, safe, legal and secure travel to and from walks. All dogs are walked by me, ensuring bonds are formed and just as importantly that clients know who is coming into their house and has access to their key.  Aftercare includes towelling off muddy/wet paws and time for a treat!

Dog sitting

£15 per hour

Away for a few hours?  Can’t take your dog with you?  Either regularly or a one off, if you want your furry friend to have some company for a few hours I am there for them.  You can book any length of time and it can include a walk if preferred.  Do you have a pup not ready for walkies yet?  Or an ill or elderly dog?  Visits may just be for comfort breaks and playtime in the garden for puppies or dogs that are not able to go for walks.

Poo picking

£10 per visit

Not lovely but essential.  If this is a job you can’t manage any more then let me clean up.

Cats

Those of us who adore our feline friends know that they are happiest at home. As an alternative to putting them in a cattery why not consider a caring and reliable sitter to come and feed and give them the attention they deserve while you are away.

I am also happy to open and close curtains and leave lights on at night while you are away to make it look like you are home.
