Dottie’s provides safe, reliable and friendly daycare and boarding for dogs and small pets in St Helens and the surrounding area.

We are a family run business from our home in St Helens. We look after your pets as if they were our own, giving you the freedom to concentrate on work or relax and take a break without worrying about your furry little ones.

We have pets ourselves, including a fish, 2 guinea pigs, a 20 year old cat and our latest addition……..Dottie! We also have a great deal of experience due to my family having run a successful pet care business in Hertfordshire for 25 years.

Therefore, we can put your mind at rest with our experience, care and professional service. Our girls just love animals, so it will be our pleasure.

About

As pet owners ourselves we understand that leaving them alone can be worrying whether for a few hours or a few weeks. There is also the burden of asking and relying on friends or family to look after them in your absence. It all makes going away very stressful for you and your pets. We remove the hassle and step in to look after your pets and your house with care and professionalism. This means you can just relax.

We are a family living in St Helens and running our own pet care business from home. I (Dad) am originally from the South but swam against the tide and moved North in 1995 after meeting my future wife at University. I grew up in Hertfordshire in a house of dog lovers. I always had a dog (and hamsters and a cat) but my two retrievers were my ultimate companions through my childhood and teenage years. We had many pets and when my Dad retired from the police when I was 16 he set up a dog walking and boarding business to fill the void. I helped out and as the business grew it added my sister and others. 25 years later it is still a successful family business serving the home counties. I went off to University and decided to remain in the North as I didn’t feel the South was ready for my better half! I have returned home when needed to cover the business for family holidays.

So, whether you are stuck at work or off abroad for a few weeks, you can rest assured that you are leaving the care of your precious pets in experienced and loving hands.

Our services

Day Care

Whether you’re away for the day or simply at work, we provide your dog with a safe and loving environment so you don’t need to worry about them.

Boarding

We provide a dog boarding service in our own home. However, we are not a kennels. This service is for the dog that likes to be kept in a home environment.

Small Pets

We offer home-based care and boarding services for caged, hutched and small animals. For now, this will need to be in their own cages.

Cat Sitting

We look after your cat in your home while you are away or at work.

Pet & House Sitting

We provide reliable and loving care and company for your pets in your home while you are away.

Dog Walking

We offer one-to-one dog walking services all year round. We can walk your dog with ours if you prefer.
