About Me

Hi, I’m Stella and I have the best job in the World!

I live in Alton, Hampshire, and am privileged to belong to 2 Springer Spaniels, Bella and Stanley.

I have a passion for improving the lives of dogs and their owners through positive reinforcement training. I use this method of training with my own dogs and for me, this is the only way.

Training with your dog should be fun and rewarding for both dog and owner.  If you are having fun, you are more likely to learn.  You will want to do more and so will your dog.  Positive reinforcement will strengthen the bond you have with your dog creating a win/win.  Let’s face it, that’s why we have them isn’t it?

Positive reinforcement trainers also emphasise the importance of building a strong foundation of trust and communication between dogs and their owners.  We use techniques such as counter conditioning and desensitisation to help dogs overcome fears and anxieties, building their confidence.

You will have the option of working through the IMDT Partnership Grades in a way that works with you and your dog’s way of learning. No final week tests!

I also offer accompanied training walks where training continues in a more stimulating environment. There are a variety of walks in the beautiful Hampshire countryside with time to stop for a flask of tea and a biscuit!

Whilst I always prefer to meet my clients and their dogs in person, this is not always possible.  Perhaps a Zoom consultation will work for you instead.

One final thing – your dog is not stupid; your dog is not stubborn; your dog is not deliberately trying to annoy you, it’s just that we need to tap into your dog’s individual way of learning!
