A Little About Us

Founded by Bob Lucas, 3 Counties Dog Training has been helping owners and their puppies, rescue dogs and older dogs throughout the Camberley, Farnborough and Hampshire areas since 1986. Whatever size, shape or breed of dog you own, you will benefit from the help given by our experienced and friendly dog trainers. You will quickly learn that the correct use of commands, body language, handling techniques, praise and reward will ensure that you have a happy dog that is willing to obey your commands, and is a pleasure to own.

The importance of playing is never overlooked – dog training should always be fun for both the dog and the handler. This theme continues throughout our training. Whether you want a good standard of pet obedience or aspire for advanced training, our dog trainers are here to help and have various classes to cater to your requirements. We are extremely proud of our strong reputation and high level of recommendations, and look forward to welcoming both new and old friends alike.

A Well Trained Dog Is Accepted By Society

For a new puppy, 3 Counties Dog Training offer socialisation and basic obedience training.

For older dogs and rescue dogs, we provide specialist training that is aimed at teaching them both basic and advanced obedience skills. We can help eradicate bad habits such as chewing chairs, tables and skirting boards, climbing on and off the furniture, and stealing food.

With our many years of experience working with various breeds, we can ensure that your canine companion is a pleasure to own.

Whether you need puppy training, rescue dog training, or training for older dogs in Surrey, complete our contact form to introduce yourself and your dog to us, and we’ll be in touch.

Available For Sale

This is a brand new fully functional Dog Cart that can be pulled by any of the large ‘Pulling Dog’ breeds it has never been used and would be equally suited to be used as a feature in an office reception area surrounded by plants, etc., or as a shop feature or window display.  It was commissioned by us using a unique non-plan design making it the only one exactly of its kind in the world to use in carnivals etc., but we have never actually used it.

The dimensions are as follows:  L 800mm x W 560mm x H 930mm, the shafts are L 600mm

As you can see from the photos the height is roughly the height of standard indoor door handle positioning.  The roof lifts off to reveal a large storage area and for display purposes or in use it would look great with a light inside it shining out through the windows and the front and rear opening doors.

About Our Classes In Detail
Puppy socialisation classes in Camberley
Our puppy socialisation and puppy training classes provide an excellent opportunity for your young dog to socialise correctly with other dogs and people, but respond to you when you want them to. You will learn many useful hints and tips to ensure that you enjoy your puppy to the full. Our experienced instructors will assist you in understanding your young companion, and to be one step ahead; recognising signs that could manifest themselves into habits that you would prefer them not to have.
Special classes for rescue and older dogs
There is absolutely no truth in the saying “you can’t teach an old dog new tricks”. The majority of dogs are willing and anxious to please their owners and indeed, brain stimulation created by a good training schedule is an essential part of rescue dog training. It is not only rescue dogs that sometimes need training classes. Older dogs often become confused by the efforts of several members of the family trying to succeed in training them with a multitude of commands, rewards and praise at the wrong time; with nobody there to jump out of the pages of the book they bought to show them where they are going wrong.
Puppy Home Start service
It is vitally important to get your new puppy inoculated and checked over by your vet. During the first few weeks in your home, your puppy will be settling in and finding his feet. This is a very important learning time for your canine companion. Our well-established canine training school in Surrey can help you to achieve a high standard of pet obedience. This starts some weeks after your new puppy arrives at home. Our HomeStart service involves a home visit with you, your puppy and your family. Our consultant will provide you with an information pack and cover everything from toilet training to the early prevention of many habitual problems, such as chewing and jumping up. You will learn how to get your dog used to being handled correctly without rebelling. Also, you will be shown a variety of ideal toys and products that assist in the prevention of habitual problems. An essential part of this session is the teaching of your pup, using methods which train without the puppy even realising that it is being trained. Getting it right from day one is far better than having to continually correct behavioural problems that have manifested themselves in the early days, often without owners realising what is happening.
